Had my left THR 1/4/10 and I doing excellent.Had my staples removed yesterday. I

have been very lucky, very little pain since 3rd day after surgery. They

inserted a pain block pump in the groin prior to surgery, which I believe was

great. Since I have been home my hands seem to go to sleep even when I am not

asleep, I was womdering if any on else has had this experience.

Thanks,

Peg

I had my left hip replaced on July 9, 2010. On my right hand (which had the

IV in it ) the thumb and first two fingers were numb for a long time. They

are better now but not completely well. I was told that a nerve was hit by

the IV.

On Oct. 26 I had my right hip replaced. I haven't had any problems with

the left hand that had the IV.
