Am I to understand that you had hip replacement surgery two months ago and

you're still not able to get around very well? I sort of got stopped at that

point because I was back to work at 4-5 weeks and by two months was already

working out. I'm assuming that you're either in your twenties or thirties if

you plan on having a child. I have some serious opinions on this and I hope

I don't offend you with them. Having a child is a huge responsibility and if

you are unsure about how to support yourself now, I question how you would

also care for, pay for food, clothing, medical care, schooling etc for a

child right now. My first thought is to recommend that you work on a career

for yourself first. Starting your own business takes about 12-14 hour days

and lots of money. A good chunk of your income if you're self employed goes

to taxes. So remember that about 25-30% will need to be paid up front

quarterly to the government. The best career choices are ones that you truly

love what you're doing. There is a huge need for qualified medical staff now

and regardless of how many people are applying, you will need to promote

your unique gifts and talents no matter which job you are applying for.

There are career counselors out there, and if you're just beginning to look

for work, you might want to start with a temp agency. Temp agencies can

supply you with classes to learn computer programs as well as it's an

opportunity to find out what sort of work you really like. If you're new to

the work force I think this might be a good option for you. I work as a

Project Admin for a large commercial construction company and have no

problems with my hip since I've returned to work. Have you been going

through Physical Therapy? This is the most important thing you can do for

your healing. I'm sure there is alot of information missing here, so again I

apologize for my sometimes too honest response. My first concern is for your

healthy recovery and there should be no reason for you not to work if you're

going through PT and getting strong. Be patient, work hard at it, and take

the necessary steps and you'll succeed.
