I have a lot of groin and thigh pain......at first I thought the thigh pain

was radiating up from the knee......

now I wonder.........BARB

How I ended up changing my years of

putting off a TKR and rapidly went for a THR

Actually I went in for a second/third opinion of my knee and about ortho

product allergies because I was always left to think that only my knee

really was my only surgically needy problem the and was what was causing all

my problems from hip to groin to knee. Then likely when I was seen at my

third knee opinion as my remaining standing and avoiding certain sitting

positions I guess that turned that knee surgical opinion visit into also a

hip checkup and with that a whole different type of reason for my visit

came about. For the first time I was being told I would need my hip fixed

before my knee and that began to make the best sense in the world to me and

to my husband because for years and years I had been having thigh and groin

pain and putting off the knee surgery not really feeling that was my ONLY

problem. So that was how and why my having my hip done (it was also in

rapidly declining not improving type urgent trouble) without any real

hesitation. I got a lot of

understanding about my potential allergies out of the way and so the " green

light for the THR " saying " go for it don't wait anymore for the knee or hip

or anything " came right on.
