She has been married for 19 years and has four children all diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. She is the author of a book titled Reflections of Self and a DVD titled; Define Me. She enjoys writing and speaking about autism spectrum disorders; educational approaches, modification and adaptations to the educational or home setting. Part of her work involves going into schools, or homes and consulting to parents or teachers from her own autistic insight. Sondra is a board member of the autism society of Ohio and has been asked to serve on the advisory board for OCALI. Sondra is also a Parent Advocate trainee through the LEND program of Ohio State University working as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals and trainees seeking to gain better insight to better serve and support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. In the past Sondra served as a voting member of the Ohio Autism Task Force appointed by the Governor of the state of Ohio. Audience: Parents and professionals who live and work with individuals affected by autism spectrum disorders.
