Guest guest
Hi all! I see the surgeon again on the 15th and my mom is calling the ambulance transportation to get it all in order. I tried to sit up for two hours or more yesterday due to my nephew's first birthday and almost needed an ambulance after taking half an hour of attempts getting up. My hip that has been replaced twice in the past five years has been acting up for the past three months and I can barely sit up now. The surgeon did blood tests when I saw him this month and x-rays but the xrays like normal showed nothing. The stress of getting up has caused the pain in my back so my family doctor and er doctor are pretty certain that once my hip issues are fixed my back should be fine. My question is has anyone here or know of someone who has experienced alval or metal sensitivity? With the tests my surgeon is doing and all the signs it really looks like this might be the problem. Which kind of sucks since well most of the hip is metal with screws and a cage and all the information I have found on it says that the only cure is to go in and replace all the metail with cermic (sp?). Thanks last hip replacement - left hip July 2009
