Guest guest
Hi Judy, Sure, no problem. Doc (Holistic Dentist and ND) said, " DO NOT take Fosamax, Boniva, or any of the other pharmaceutical bone forming preps. " He basically repeated the warnings that you most likely read about. Reading the warnings and choosing to heed them or not is really a personal choice. I never chose to take them after I read the warnings, similar to you. I am reading (today actually), Barr's series of articles in healthtruthrevealed.com about the benefits of Silica (max. dosages) that have assisted some to not have THR and other joint replacements. http://www healthtruthrevealed.com/articles/13273133712/article This is one out of about 4 articles having to do with the necessary elements for bone health and rebuilding bone and cartilage. The other of Barr's articles are on chromium, selenium, and more on silica/silicon. Just click on articles and look for those written by Barr. The Holistic Dentist/ND I spoke to talked about maintaining proper balance of both pH and Hormones and how critical that was for bones/teeth. He mentioned a product by the name of Bio Terrain which is a pH balancing product, and also mentioned another product by the name of Bone Restore. These contain the supplements that you are asking about. I have not looked either of these products up yet, and will do so today. He mentioned the Life Extension Foundation organization (lef.org) and the wonderful material that they have to read at that website, and also the medical help that is available if you are a member. Bone Restore can be purchased at the website. Let me know what you think. Hope any of this helps. I'm still searching for an alternative that will allow me to keep my bones at this late stage. Sasha -- Re: Does Anybody Know. . . Sasha, I would appreciate hearing what are the supplements to help build and restore bone that the doctor mentioned to you during the phone conversation. My doctor has prescribed Fosamax for me and after reading all the warnings I'd prefer to go another route. Thanks, Judy McG
