Z-coil shoes

Someone mentioned Z-coil shoes. I have been wearing nothing but Z-coil

shoes since about May 2005. They last forever! The first ones I bought,

Velcro sandals and black " athletic " style, are still in service and look

brand new - and one or the other has been worn every day since May 2005.

Along the way I have had to get new heels and recently in Miami, the owner

of the Z-coil store there fixed my 3-yr-old sandals (he shortened the

straps) which I have worn probably 2/3 of the year every year. They look

like brand new! My husband insisted I get another pair of sandals since

they may stop making my size (5) and then, where would I be?

Anyway, the point of these shoes is to make walking less painful on all

joints: feet, ankles, hips, back, etc. They work very well. They are not

stylish and I look at pretty, sexy shoes wishfully at stores, but know that

if I buy them I will not wear them. This is because after an hour or so in

regular shoes I am realizing how much less pain I would be in if I were I my

z-coils. Since it's winter I am wearing my favorites - red nubuck z-coil

hiking boots, every day, everywhere. Along with the sandals and the black

athletic shoes, they make up my entire shoe wardrobe. Since I only had one

knee done, in Oct, and it still hurts, I am wearing x-coils for at least a

year more, and even after have recovered completely from my second TKR in a

year, I still have a bad back and my hips are starting to hurt. Good bye

glamour!

And BTW, our house is all hardwood floors, so I have to put them on early in

the morning, otherwise just walking back and forth in the house would wreck

my knees and back. So they aren't just for sidewalks, warehouses and other

surfaces! They are good at home, if you have hard floors there, too.
