Your cane should come right to your wrist. Before I talked to anyone,

I ordered a folding cane from a travel catalog. Turned out to be

about four inches too tall, and wouldn't adjust any lower. The

therapist had me get a shorter cane, which helped me walk in a more

normal way. However, my good old friend, my folding cane, travels

with me in the car and would serve well in a pinch should I ever

need assistance again.
