I see Dr. Brownstein - he lets me do whatever dose I feel good on. He uses

labs to guide me. I was over the range on FT3 one time but felt good and he

left me alone. It was when I was chelating mercury so I suspect that is

why.

Just keep asking questions. Join Naturalthryoidhormones group too.

That's how I learned. You have to do it for the sake of your kids. I lost

6 years of my son's life.

WOW! That was a jaw dropper....(the price) And I take it that

iunsurance does NOT cover anything? Well, I will watch my money to save

Welcome to the world of natural medicine. No insurance does not cover it.

That is why it is important to get a Dr that will do it for you - not saliva

but blood. You can order your own blood labs from www.healthcheckusa.com

too. No Dr needed just a local lab to draw it.

Is this where calling doctors to find out where they stand is important?

Okay, what type of questions should I ask? Again, I want to understand

first. I am in North central Indiana, if anyone knows any good docs

here. Tabitha

Are you near South Bend? I am in the Grand Rapids MI area. There are some

Dr's there. You can look in the files section of the Natural Thyroid

Hormones group. There are recommended doctors there. I would start there

because they are the tried and true ones I drive 2 1/2 hours to see Dr.

Brownstein. It was hard when I felt bad but now I like the time alone -

when I get it. My mom sees his partner and my two hypo kids also see him.

That's another thing. Watch your kids. Take their basal body temps (under

arm before rising) and it should be 97.6 or higher My kids were both low.

95.7 and 96.1. The are both on 1 1/4 grains.

Hi Tabitha: I just wanted to send you some support. I know what you mean about being intimidated by doctor's. Can your husband or someone else go with you to your appts.? I can usually stand up for someone in my family more easily than myself. If you forget something, your husband can be there to support you and ask questions too. Just a thought. I also started taking notes at all my doctor's appts. bc when I get home I usually forget some of the info they had given me. You may want to get copies of all of your tests and blood work to keep a file on yourself. You must be so overwhelmed. Take it one day at a time, you are not alone in your fight for a healthy body. Ask questions, not only at your appts., but on this website and any others that are helpful. Good luck. Tabitha <free_2_stamp@...> wrote: I know I need to be more assertive!! I went from 90mg to 240mg Armour in one week, once I got cortef and enough estrogen. going slow was not an option. I had been untreated for 30 years after a partial thyroidectomy.

Gracia

You need to get it up fast. I went from 2 gr to 4 grains in 3 1/2 mos. You need to be assertive. Re: New here>I forgot to mention due to the low dose of Armour, my TSH was over> 100. I have been cancer free for 1 1/2 years. I currently am taking 2 1/2 grains of Armour. I take no other meds. Which I know needs to change.Tabitha

I have had a number of hormone saliva tests (estrogen, progesterone, DHEA-S,

testosterone, cortisol) ordered by my physician from Aeron Life Cycles. My

insurance paid 100% of the cost of every test. If a consumer orders a test

directly and doesn't have a physician order, then insurance will not pay.

But I think a blanket statement that insurance does not cover it is

incorrect.

Dear positive thinker,

I think I can help you out. You follow few simple rules in your life.

1)Please make sure that it is clear to your sub-conseous mind the

other person's behaviour is not your control and never try AND WASTE

your time and energy in controlling other person's behaviour. You

can definately control your behaviour and make so much cosistently

possitive towards the other person so that you help him in improving

his behaviour by improving and setting example for him.

2)For achieving above, you convince yourself with following

hypothesis.

" You have two arms but you are not arms, you have a heart but you

are not heart, You have a brain but you are not brain. In shortyou

have a body, but you yourself is not body. Agrred?

Now the question is then who you are?

The answer is you are pure form of Soul who is not effected by any

out side effect and is always happy and peaceful in any situation.

What ever happens is to your body only and not to you i.e. the

Soul. The Soul is a highly concentrated form of energy which runs the

body.

To make little simple, let me give you an example of COMPUTER. Our

body is hardware and the operating system is " the soul " Whenever

your mind is unhappy due to any reason, think that you are pure form

of Soul which is not effected by any adversity in this world. So you

should not be unhappy or disturbed.

3)What ever happens in this world is made to happen with some

perticular possitive purpose by nature which may not appear to be

favourable to you but definitely it bring out some possitive outcome

somewhere in the world.

If these concept is embeded and entered in your subconseous mind,

you can always make yourself peaceful.

Dear Holly

Here is what I can tell you about how to meditate. This is to concentrate your attention on something for sometime. We can use our 5 senses - we can either gaze at something, noticing its beauty etc., we can concentrate on our breath - on how we breathe, we can read mantra (like om), or we can listen to the music. Usually people concentrate on breath. You have to learn how to breath through your abdomen not much through your chest, that way we can breath fully, but with chest only 1/3. To concentrate on your breath you can count it. If any other thoughts will come to you during your concentration time (meditation) then let them go and come back to your breath and to the counting, you can continue count or you can start from 1 again.

That is it for the beginning and very important you have to do it twice daily morning and before sleep and when it become your habbit you'll enjoy complete peace of mind, because you'll learn by then how to control your thoughts - you'll be able to concentrate on whatever you choose to concentrate on and your life will go as you want it to go.

I wish you good journey. It will not be hard - it just will take some time, but the results are wonderful.

Best regards

Your friend

Ulanda, Thank you so much. I had heard about this, but wasn't sure if there was more too it. Do you usually do this for a set amount of time? I am going to give it a try starting first thing tomorrow. I am looking forward to experiencing peace of mind and being able to concentrate more easily on things! Thank you again for all the information and I look forward to getting to know you better! Take Care! Hi Dianna,

I have switched from Synthroid to Armour Thyroid. The Armour works much better for me. Read this website: www.stopthethyroidmadness.com There is great information here! Especially read Things We Have Learned, and Mistakes Patients Make, and all of it really.

I do notice some headaches but it's mild

I also take Prev acid for my Acid Reflux
