Guest guest
Glutathione suppositories have helped me as well as glutathione IVs and IMs (haven't used IMs in the past 2 years as my current doc doesn't like them). Undenatured whey also helps me, but not as strong. The only glutatione form that didn't help are pills. I take 250mg supp. on an as needed basis. The greatest benefit for me is that I can increase my glut. on bad days (MAJOR improvement). Since I have to drive to the doctor's office for IVs, I could never get there on bad days. Guest guest
I get my suppositories from Hopewell Pharmacy in New Jersey. Phone number 800-792-6670. It requires a perscription which can be faxed to 800-417-3864. It cost $3/suppository ($90 for month supply). The pharmacist name is Gene. Guest guest
Glutathione suppositories should increase bowel lining glutathione for the last 2 feet perhaps of colon lining because these cells can directly absorb glutathione. It won't get much coverage outside the topical area or be absorbed into the bloodstream. There's some indication that glutathione by liposomal delivery can enter the blood serum, but most cells can't absorb glutathione in the blood serum so you'd mainly get a 'sparing' of cellular glutathione for other use. There is proof that some white blood cells break down serum glutathione and reassemble it into glutathione inside the cell. So overall the liposomal GSH would provide protection to some of the topically-treated bowel lining and also elevate blood glutathione levels and some white blood cells (forget the exact ones, sorry). There's scant proof by way of data on liposomal or oil-covered GSH IMO absorbing into cells other than those specified. Of note, people on other lists are making their own liposomal mixes using those fog nebulisers, lecithin, water, oil and I think glutathione or vitamin C. I think there's merit in using the approach if one is not thinking about dropping their oral GSH precursors, but I wouldn't just replace the oral precursor method with rectal or liposomal GSH because you still need 90% within the cells and most cells don't absorb exogenous glutathione. all good, Duncan
