Guest guest
Hi all! I was at the ER yet again a few nights ago and had a CT scan done where they found that I have a right lateral disc protrusion extending posteriorly for a distance of 7 mm and displacment of the S-1 nerve root - the exact wording from the report. This is on top of the fact that my fake hip on my left side keeps trying to dislocate everytime I get up from or while sitting. My family doctor is overbooked and the earliest he can see me is Oct 7th and the ER doctor wants me to tell him to look into a pain clinc- which I have never heard of I suppose it has to do with pain management. Also they keep taking xrays of the hip but see no difference but they can tell something is going on because the inflammantion keeps getting worst I am at the point that I am on an anti-inflammory that my mother took a few years ago when she had cancer. My question is with all the new info and more inflamation and 3 ER visits by ambluance this month alone should I contact my surgeon again? I understand that he wants it to dislocate by itself or something - long story short my last hip replacement had to be redone due to loosen head and stuff at the time all thought it was a fluke but now around the same time that the other one failed he is beginning to wonder if there is something else going on. But I really don't know how much more I can take between the hip and back I can barely sit at the dinner table for 20 minutes and then I am in bed for hours afterwards. The worst thing is my last ER visit happened at 2am because after sleeping for an hour I had to get up and couldn't no matter what I did after trying for an hour my mom called 911 just to help me get up because afterwards I can't stand or walk at all. Any advice would be great. Thanks. ~Contessica
