Guest guest
Hi Beth, Welcome to our group! We see Dr. DeMio for bio treatments also. I can tell you, whatever your concerns are about your child he will listen to. Dr. DeMio really does appreciate parents who know about bio treatments and will order any testing that is appropriate if you wish it to be done. You can call and talk with him personally before your appointment. He will call you back within a day or so and he is very open and will be glad to answer any questions. It's hard to find a doctor that is so kind as he is. Maybe it's because he also has a child with autism and totally understands your concerns. We have been down the biomedical road for the last 5 years and have seen slow steady improvements, but still have a long ways to go. We have seen some of the best DAN docs in the country. I can't help but think that we are missing some pieces. Thru a process of elimination and looking at my son's history as an MMR/varicella regressor, I think that the missing pice may be viral testing and potential treatment. I have read that Dr DeMio does prescribe LDN and Valtrex. I am hoping someone here can tell me what specific immune testing he does to determine if your child is a good candidate for these medications. Does he order the autism premier panel frim Immuno- Scince? Or some other test or combination of tests? If possibel I would like to come prepared withthe testign inhand so we can discuss treatmetn at the first visit. Thanks so much. Beth Steenbergen P.S. If there is an Ohio biomedical board that would be more appropriate for me to post these quesitons to, would someone kindly direct me to it? If I am off-top

Does Dr. DeMio except it? Just curious, have been out the loop for awhile. We are getting ready to do the hyperbaric O2 chamber. We file insurance out of network and it covers about half the costs. At this time he isn't in any insurance networks as far as I know. I know that 'some' of the tests he orders (depending on what the tests are) can be done at your local hospital and covered by whatever the hospital lab insurance coverage will accept. Some Greatplains Labs tests are now covered by some insurance networks. I'm not sure which ones exactly. let me know how the H-O2 works for you. --where are you having that done?
