I have stumbled upon this group and I am curious if one can derive similar benefits from the use of coconut cream/milk as you can from coconut oil? I switched from dairy cream and sugar in my morning coffee to coconut cream/milk. Blueberries or strawberries with coconut cream is just awesome! I read with great interest the post by Rik regarding CO / ketones /insulin / brain / Alzheimer's /anxiety and the subsequent reply from Alobar. For more than a decade, I've been taking Benadryl and Melatonin EVERY night for sleep. I quit the melatonin a year ago when I found out hibernating animals have high levels of melatonin (similar to levels found in humans after consuming 3 mg)- hibernating animals don't need much metabolism, do they? But I've been too scared to discontinue the Benadryl - until last week - and I have been able to sleep JUST FINE! Coincidence? I don't know. I can't say for certain it is because of the coconut but I'd like to think so. So my question is, again, can similar benefits be derived from consuming coconut cream/milk as coconut oil? Thank you!
