Guest guest
Hi folks. . I haven't been an active participant for awhile. . .got my tkr 2.5 years ago. . i'm 47 now. . mine was brought on by a combo of bad genetics, medical errors and rotten luck... . for the most part i'm in less pain. And that is good. (I also kept the blogs now dubbed the new joint for those who may have posted there.) Thanks to a successful manipulation (because they hospitalized me after it at a great hospital) i have amazing range of motion. . . but (and you knew it was there). . i still have pain on the top of my kneecap whenever i go up or down stairs or bend. it feels like soft tissue pain. . my doc things it might be scar tissue but i'm really not up for an arthroscopic procedure to find out -- my knee has been through enough trauma. . . i'm wondering if anyone else out there has experienced something similar and if you have remedies. my tkr was atypical in that it was pretty much caused by injury and my knee was worn down by the time i was about 30 (but they made me wait and if some docs had their choice id *still* be waiting. . . i had a LOT of soft tissue damage from a very young age. . . but i'm thinking maybe someone out there has a suggestion or two? thanks all, janet >
