Guest guest
Isn't it funny how we are all so different about the countries we live in or visit. We, left the UK in 1989 to live in Australia mainly for the weather and opportunities for the kids they were 1-0 and 12 at the time, But we have been back 4 times and neither of us would go back to live there, my husband's entire family are still there mine are spread out. I Love and Adore the USA, have had 2 holidays there and would dearly love to return, I guess its the saying the " The grass is always greener on the other side. " x -- Re: Sleeping on side Well I just envy you a place in England. It has been my dream to one day walk on that land. The stepping stones, Dovedale. I have a friend there that sends me all kind of pictures. The Lions head. Ever walk the Pennine Way? I hold on to that one dream, to visit England
Guest guest
I went to California one time. Ontario California. It was dry and hot and brown. When I got back to Pennsylvania and seen my mountains and the river I could have kissed the ground. I don't know that I would ever want to stay but I really have a desire to see England. I have always said the grass is greener on the other side until you get there and look back. I am starting to feel a little stronger. Tonight I am tired, have been up and around a lot today. So I think I will turn in. I walk around a lot without a cane or anything, when I'm in the house but if I go out I take my cane cause I would hate to fall down outside some where. Its just a little comfort to me I guess. Just good to feel like being on the move a bit. Just have to remind myself not to overdo it. Guest guest
We live in New York City in the summer. If anyone has been there in July and August, you will know why we leave! Northern England is just so much more comfortable, and somehow, there is little humidity! I still haven't figured that out yet. So far, my knee feels good in reaction to the weather, and my breathing is always better here. And yes, the grass IS greener! LOL.
