Guest guest Posted March 26, 2008 Report Share Posted March 26, 2008 Hi my name is Beth and I'm new to the group. I joined to get insight on TKR. My doctor has said that my left knee the only thing left to do is TKR and my right knee I have a choice of a final authroscopy or TKR. I have a second opinion scheduled for today with a different doctor, who I know did TKR on a friend of mine and she made out well. I'm 47 years old and just scared that if I do the TKRs now that I will have to repeat at somepoint down the road because I heard that don't last that long. The biggest thing also is that both knees are giving me a lot of pain. My rheumatologist has put me on a new pain med that seems to be helping, final some relief. I've also been told that I should be going to a pain management doctor or gorup, this I just found out so I'm looking into that. I live in the Philadelphia area of PA, so if anyone has a great doctor, or group that they know and would recommend I would appreciate it. Also any thing you can offer as help I would appreciate.
