Guest guest
Concerned about the functionality of bi-lateral TKAs (I'm a very active skier and moderately active athlete) I investigated the Respici uni-compartmental partial knee surgery. After having CT Scans of both knees (I need to have them both done), my surgeon has suggested that my ACLs are gone. He has recommended I have the Respici uni-compartmental unit inserted along with an ACL reconstruction (at the same time). Does anyone have any information on this? It sounds like a great reconstruction, wherein I'll end up with a good ACL and most of my knees. But I would appreciate any feedback from someone who has had this procedure, and preferably a while back. He wants to use a cadaver ACL. Any thoughts on this?
