Guest guest
As I stated in a prior message, my wife (61 yr old somewhat overwieght ex-runner) just had MOM, non-cemmented anterior RTHR one week ago to day. She is restricted to 50# loading limit of the surgical leg and is using a walker. But in looking through this group's database of results, I note a number of folks walking unassisted and climbing stairs in just as much time. It boggles my mind, can anyone offer an explanation? It seems that such early loading of a non-cemented joint would be taking excessive risk as the bone has not grown into the device sufficiently to share the load factors associated with stairs (up to triple the loads of walking).
