Guest guest
Well come on, they don¹t just fear litigation, they don¹t want their patients to suddenly die unnecessarily either. Good medical care is a cooperative venture. I get as irritated at medical personnel as the next one, but by and large they do have our welfare at heart (and if your doctor doesn¹t, fire him or her and get one who does!). The best doctor and nurse in the world cannot produce good care without patient cooperation. That means, tell them what¹s up, what other meds you are taking, what other conditions you can think of which might affect your situation, take prescribed medication as prescribed, do rehab as instructed, all that. If you disagree with some recommendation, say so, and explain why. As talented as these people are, they cannot read minds. Nor are they omnipotent. The best outcomes result when everyone works together.
