Guest guest
Barbara, sorry that I am not familiar with the VA health care......but do know that if you have an American Legion post in your area that they would willing help you. My father, who fought in WWII, spent the rest of his life in the Legion helping veterans. BARB Asking again Anyone know anything about the Veterans Administration Health Care? Guest guest
Hello everyone. Going for a total elbow replacement this Thursday. Has anyone had or know anyone that has had it done. I am in Houston Texas and have a great doctor in the medical center. Evan . Still a little scared. Guest guest
I'm not sure what your specific question is. My father receives some of his medical care from the VA system. The problem would be determining your eligibility to get into the system and your best source for this information would be going directly to the VA. I would assume there website would be a good start and if that isn't helpful you could call the VA or the American Legion or some other veteran's organization for assistance in terms of your questions. The rules for eligibility have changed in the recent years -- at one time only those disabled while in service or retired from military service could receive health benefits through the VA. My understanding was that it was opened up to any vet but there might be access problems since they had to cap the number non-disabled/non-retired personnel allowed to access the system because there just wasn't enough room in some of the VA facilities. Guest guest
I have had both knees and both hips done in the last three years, by Dr. Greg Irvine. No problems with the joints. I just walked a 5k. I highly recommend him.
