Guest guest
Ruth, what is an implant card? Never heard of it. I also always wear easy clothing, as my trips tend to be long ones, as Australia is so far from any where, Except New Zealand of course. No zips no jewelry either., no watch nothing but it goes of all the time, mary.waspe@... The last time I flew from Long Beach to Seattle (just last month) not only was I subjected to the usual wand and pat down, but because I continued to set off the wand alarm, I was escorted to a private room and told to continue removing clothing until I no longer set off the wand alarm. You guessed it - I had to pull down my undergarments and show my bare skin. I wrote a letter of complaint to the TSA and have since gotten two apologies. Just to set the record straight - this kind of screening is ILLEGAL. Don't let anyone tell you that you must disrobe. I always tell the screeners I have hip implants. I always have the implant card handy. I always wear clothing that is close fitting and has no zippers or pockets. I am always polite and cooperative. No one cares.
