Guest guest
Hi Arthur, I've seen so many people invest in this or that type of exercise equipment only to have it sit in the corner or under the bed after they tire of it. Forget the equipment and get a quality rebounder. So much fun and it will do much more than just tire you out and tone your body. The fun of it usually will make one continue using it. And you can increase or decrease the amount of exercise to your personal fitness. As far as burning calories...You are able to burn more calories per hour with rebounding than with regular exercise and with 87% less shock, less effort, and more safety. The number of calories burned per hour by a 154 pound person are: 1440 Sprinting on rebound 750 Regular running 600 Rebound jogging 420 Bicycling at 10 MPH 150 Health bouncing 150 Indoor walking Enjoy! Gail > are there any gym people who can recommend a good exercise machine for home use. i am not interested in weights or anything like that as i don't want to put on any muscle. mainly i am interested in just moving my whole body and burning calories > > i was looking at some rowing machines and the tony little gazelle elite (i know it's really corny but for some reason it looks well built) > > bikes don't seem to move the upper body as much as these two > > i'm interested in something where i can really tire myself out and exercise vigorously so not interested at all in the chi machine. > > i used a nordic track many years ago and i'm wondering how this compares to rowing machines or the gazelle > > > >

Guest guest
Look at the Chuck Norris TOTAL gym, again corny but no weights and you can do high repitions and burn. I see many in the recycler and pennysaver. Guest guest
Al. If that is your problem, you are probably jumping too high. You don't even have to bounce high enough for your feet to come of the mat in order to get 95% of the benefits of the rebounder except for the aerobic portion. In fact, the lymphatic benefits are probably greater if you do NOT bounce that high. The total gym is a nice piece of equipment but for a different purpose. Guest guest
Bruce I bought the cellercizer a year ago and am very happy with it. My friend is a lot more active on it than I am and has seen definite improvements in the density of her muscles. She jumps an hour a day. I basically use it just for lymph drainage. REBOUNDER. Get a GOOD mini-trampoline (Cellerciser, or Needak). It's the only exercise machine you need. charles

It looks to be well made and has a life time warranty on all components. ReboundAIR: http://www.healthbounce.com/ Needak has a two year warranty on some parts, five on others, and lifetime warranty on the frame. http://www.needak-rebounders.com/ The cellerciser web site search returned no results for warranty. :| http://www.cellercise.com/ Regards, Bruce
Guest guest
Hi Bruce, I have Al 's " Rebound Air " and it's great, no complaints, it's very durable, folds in half, has a carrying case, and has quality springs that give the soft bounce. Great for me watching the NBA playoffs and getting a great workout...Dean On May 11, 2004, at 9:26 AM, Bruce Stordock wrote: >> One word.. >> >> REBOUNDER. >> >> Get a GOOD mini-trampoline (Cellerciser, or Needak). Those glider units that replicate skiing and work the upper body always look like great fun and also look non stressful. Can't remember what they are called. Guest guest
Luck Rowing is considerably more intense (muscle involving) than cross country skiing (nordic track). I have a nordic track and like it, but don't use it much now as daily weight lifting is providing a good aerobic workout as well as size/strength building. I don't have a clue what the " gazelle " is but if you want to really bust your ass, buy a rowing machine. Corny exercise machine are there any gym people who can recommend a good exercise machine for home use. i am not interested in weights or anything like that as i don't want to put on any muscle. mainly i am interested in just moving my whole body and burning calories i was looking at some rowing machines and the tony little gazelle elite (i know it's really corny but for some reason it looks well built) bikes don't seem to move the upper body as much as these two i'm interested in something where i can really tire myself out and exercise vigorously so not interested at all in the chi machine. i used a nordic track many years ago and i'm wondering how this compares to rowing machines or the gazelle

Guest guest
A recumbent bicycle might be best. You sit in it an pedal in front of you. I have used elliptical trainers and they are pretty aggressive. I used them before my knee became a problem but it might hurt and be too much. Exercise machine I live remote and both my husband and I are on a fixed income. I hadmy knees replaced 11/06 & 12/06. I did therapy until March, but thegas money and the co-pay really hurt our budget. I just can't make itin there as much as I should.Does anyone have a suggestion for an exercise machine that I can usearound the house? I don't do really well on an regular upward bike, can someone think of something else. I called my former therapist andhe wasn't in and will not be back until the end of the month.Would an "elliptical" (sp) work?Thank you, please reply privately as I have too many e-mails rightnow. I have two litters of show puppies and my mail is full most ofthe time.Sherry Megabucks Ranchwww.MegabucksRanch.com~ a dog that lives outside has an address~ a dog that lives inside has a home
