Guest guest
I haven't read that book but I can tell you what happened with me. I usually don't drink enough liquids - maybe 3 glasses a day and I used to have a lot of digestive issues. I went on the HCG diet (which is supposed to average .5 - 3 lbs of weight loss per day); however, I noticed that I didn't lose any weight for the first 10 days - but, I was only drinking about 4 cups of water per day. When I upped my water intake to 8 cups, I immediately starting losing. (Lost 70 lbs). My stomach also felt better with more water. My digestion actually improved while on the diet and now I am off reflux medications. I think that also might have to do with the diet - no sugar, breads, pastas, dairy (for a period of time). Maybe being off those foods for a while helped heal my stomach? I now still forget to drink enough and I will get kidney pain & dry skin if I don't drink enough, so I think your water intake is a good thing. However, if you have a medical condition in which water is contraindicated, then that's another story. Re: chocolate - if I eat regular chocolate, my stomach hurts. I've had better luck with eating Theo Dark Chocolate bars. I'm not sure why I do better with their chocolate -maybe no soy, more cacao, or maybe I don't eat as much because it is rich? I drink caffeinated coffee every day and it doesn't bother my stomach but everyone's body is different of course. When I drank Mocha's - my stomach tended to hurt and my digestion slowed. When I switched to cappuccino's with half n half or heavy cream and no sugar, I did great. Add a spoon of Coconut oil and I am bright eyed and bushy tailed for the day. Guest guest
I got it through a compounding pharmacy (Custom Prescriptions in Bellvue, WA) by prescription from my doctor. Guest guest
It stands for human chorionic gonadotropin. My doctor put me on it & the accompanying diet to lose weight. It's not for everyone but it worked well for me. I couldn't get myself together to do the candida diet but for some reason I could manage this one. http://www.hcgdietinfo.com Jen > > What's HCG? >
