Guest guest
That can't be a good fast! No fresh organic juice at least? Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T GI distress + Coconut Oil Detox Has anyone had experience with Coconut Oil Detox? I just completed my first 3-day fast + consumed up to 15 tbsp. Coconut Oil per day. Unfortunately I felt no great benefit from first short fast. I felt like I was too weak to continue, and also felt like I was not handling the quantity of Oil easily {had been on 3-6 tbsp of Coconut Oil for ~ 2 1/2 months before}. I was trying to aid my chronic GI distress(have been feeling gut pain off and on for months; pain seems elevated after consuming heavy meals/fruits/sugars, although at times wake up early morning with GI distress also). I had previously done the Master Cleanse for years, but now understand that that is too much sugar consumption{maple syrup + cayenne + lemon juice}; the Master cleanse did not provide relief from the aforementioned GI distress either. Appreciate any feedback + any review of Coconut Oil detox (is there an area on Dr Fife's website that has Detox feedback? ).
Guest guest
If doing these cleanses hasn't helped your GI tract then it could be safe to say that you don't have a toxic problem. Have you ever been tested for CELIAC? The amount of people that have Celiac(inability to handle gluten 100%) is staggering and what is more shocking is the fact that the disease is over 75% + undiagnosed. Read up on it but don't cut off eating gluten before getting all test results back as you must be consuming gluten to confirm diagnosis. The disease is treated 100% with diet/eliminating 100% of gluten. Sounds like you have a very good reason to be tested. On another note consuming a lot of Coconut oil can lead to Candida kill off and that also leads to actually feeling worse before getting better because when they die off they give off toxins. If you do have a Candida Albicans problem then sugar makes it worse but so does flour and refined products that are highly glycemic. I highly recommend you get tested for Celiac first, then consider other possible problems. You should continue the coconut oil in the meantime and eat yogurt with active bacterial cultures or/and probiotics pills to raise the good bacteria. Many celiacs are also lactose intolerant. And Candida Albicans(Yeast overgrowth) leads to many other food sensitivities as well. Keep us updated. > > Has anyone had experience with Coconut Oil Detox? Guest guest
Why in the world would you ever do that? I take a lot of coconut oil daily, but I take it with meals. Guest guest
It's quite possible that you have an overgrowth of either Bacteria or Yeast and Yes the Celiac Connection should also be looked at. I was shocked to find that when I did a 5 day collection Stool Test that I had an - * overgrowth of 3 Pathogenic Bacteria * a weak Pancreas * an AMOEBA (parasite) * a VERY suppressed Immune System (almost at zero) * Celiac Disease without any prior symptoms. Guest guest
Don't forget food allergies/sensitivities. Can you get a blood test done (or something like that) which would tell you on a scale of 1-3; 3 being the the foods to which you're most sensitive. Thne try and avoid them for at least a month. I take L-Glutamine 1000 mg for inflammation; also Tumeric.Have you been on any antibiotics lately? that's what killed my intestinal flora and messed me up something fierce! Guest guest
But what is it recommended for? It sure does not seem reasonable to me. If I take lots of coconut oil with no other food, I get a really messy case of the runs. If I did that for 3 days, my gut would be sick, and I would not be getting my needed vitamins, protein, or fiber. With no fiber, my internal ecosystem would not be happy at all. Guest guest
It's a very powerful cleansing program + is ideal for correcting all types of digestive problems{rebalances the intestinal environment + heals damaged tissues}. SEE p.195 of " Coconut Cures. "  I never got runs from Coconut Oil. Whenever I do get runs, that is a signal to me from my body that my body wants to release{would never take anti-diarrheals; only necessary rehydration fluids}. > > > From: Alobar <AlobarGmail (DOT) com> > Subject: Re: [coconut_oil_ open_forum] GI distress + Coconut Oil Detox > coconut_oil_ open_forum > Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 11:36 AM > > > > > > > Why in the world would you ever do that? Guest guest
I sure would not do a cleansing program I felt was unsafe like a coconut oil fast. Guest guest
You need to buy a book called Heartburn No more by Dr. Sherry . This book literally saved my life. She has a protocol for most stomach ailments. sounds as if you have a candida overgrowth. She discusses a lot of digestive problems and gives a natural protocol.Basically you could start on kyolic garlic with enzymes 2 capsules 3 times daily, kyo green tablets or kyo green powder 3 to six times daily kyo-dolphilus probiotic 1 capsule twice daily. These can be bought at www.iherb.com for half the price of a health food store > > > From: Laurie Adler <92adler@...> > Subject: Re: GI distress + Coconut Oil Detox > Coconut Oil > Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 3:24 PM > > > Â > > > > Don't forget food allergies/sensitivi ties.
