Guest guest
This was sent in another group yesterday: Giving up bread is only part of the story. You need to give up pasta, all processed food, and all sugar except naturally occurring variety. You even want to avoid fruit juices since you get the sugar too quickly. Along the way, find natural sources of Chromium, Silicon, Selenium, and Magnesium (transdermal is great) in supplements or better, in food. Find a good source of natural trace mineral. Supplement with Cinnulin and, finally, stay away from processed dairy products and you should be good to go. i reversed my diabetes with a raw vegan low fat diet. the last time i had an A1c done, it was low. the doctor felt sure there was some error, so took another blood sample, and ran it again. this one was even lower. then he wanted to run a 3rd one and i refused. (no insurance, these things are not cheap) he said it was impossible to reverse diabetes, and i told him what i was doing (i also lost 100 pounds over 8 months on this diet) he said that he had never heard of it being cured, there is no cure, and am i sure i had diabetes. DUH! he was the one who diagnosed it 7 years ago.. Then, he had the nerve to tell me, if i wanted to lose weight, why dont i try a sensible diet? doctors. ugg. anyway, giving up bread, (wheat) dairy and meat has made a great difference in my health. and is far more sensible than eating those things that cause illness! jan, diabetes free 4 years.
