:

I thought that Lyme Disease had only one enemy - certain drugs. Have you

discovered another way?

Subject: OT...the best digestive enzymes you know

of.

Hi All,

I will be starting a protcol that will hopefully rid me of lyme. But it will

destroy gut flora and the digestive enzymes i naturally have.

I will be using inulin to help gut flora, but i was wondering if any of you

know of some good digestive enzymes ?

Im not using anti-biotics,but some herbal remedies that have helped other

people with Lyme.

Thanks for any feedback.

I would be making sure to take a bitters formula prior to eating that will

at least start your body to make more. The one I like is sold by Herbalist

& Alchemist www.herbalist-alchemist.com and I'd be drinking either milk

kefir or Water kefir. I have both grains if anyone needs any.

By the way, what herbal remedies are you using?

Keep raw fresh pineapple in the fridge. Eat a small amount of it about

ten minutes before each meal. Frozen works, but is not as good.

You should touch base with RN ...

she recommended a local Loomis Practitioner

in my area and I will be forever grateful.

: I've had good luck with repopulating gut flora with two things:Dr.

Ohira's probiotic(sorry can't remember exact one) and then Ageless Enterophilus

from Ageless Nutrition (www.AgelessNutrition.com) BE SURE and double/triple your

probiotics before and during your protocol-otherwise it may take MONTHS to get

you gut back in order.

I also just started taking some digestive enzymes from Wellzymes

(ww.wellzymes.com). Also maybe put aloe vera juice in a juice or both to

drink-about 1/4 c A.V. per glass. I had total gut wipeout from an anitobiotic

and it has taken from 5 months to get back to semi-normal! Be careful!

Thanks everyone for their feedback.

Gut flora will be OK as Im taking inulin twice a day..but digestive enzymes are

going to be the problem.

Im having trouble getting to the bottom of 'ordinary' enzymes..and " digestive

enzymes " .

anyone know the differance ?

I'll keep researching.

I take 2 enzymes that really help me. One is Now Foods Papaya Enzymes, Chewable.

Its more like a mint than chewable, just let it dissolve. I researched these

before buying and Now brand has the highest amount of the active ingredient

Papain in it, 50mg per tablet. Other brands have 10-15mg per tab, this one has

some kick! (in a good way) Papaya works in all ph environments, whether you're

body is acid or alkaline, not all enzymes do.

The other one is High potency HCL with Pepsin. My favorite brand is Solaray

capsules. Best way to take them is one just before a meal.

I've noticed the name brands include Pepsin with the HCL.

Good explanation of HCL here, product is probably good too.

More about HCL

As I was writing this I found a stupendous deal on Solaray's at

http://snipurl.com/x058j - much cheaper than most sites. ($12.27 at Vitacost,

$15.88 at iherb).

A good all-around enzyme that's worked better than others I've tried, might find

a better price than this.

If you get this product, definitely get the capsules. The tablets are big, need

to be split, and still kinda difficult to swallow. Probably find this cheaper

elsewhere.
