I had the anterior approach seven weeks ago today and am extremely pleased with the results and my top notch surgeon. But, I wish I could say the same about my scar. I'm wondering when and if it will ever get better and lighten up and not feel so thick and numb all around it. It is 4-1/2 " long, feels and looks like a dark thick line, and has prominent staple marks on each side running along the entire length as well. Is this within the realm of normal and healing? How long did it take for all yours to lighten up? (Just curious and not obsessing over it.) Also, is there something (preferrably natural product, food, herb) that I should be treating it with to help aid in the disappearance of the prominence of it? Thank you. sybylla sms L.
