Guest guest Posted December 24, 2009 Report Share Posted December 24, 2009 Good morning to everyone - I know it is the holidays, but I thought I might get started trying to understand how to maneuver this process of getting in contact with people about THR. I am glad you are out there! My problem is this: My doctors are telling me that since they remove ALL the LIGAMENTS around the hip, I will never ever be able to do certain things again. NEVER cross my legs, or bend the hip beyond 45 degrees, NEVER ride a bike or ski or do anything that would cause me to fall. Because of this information I feel I would almost rather live with the pain of my bone crunching arthritic hip than be so totally un-enabled by the lifestyle AFTER THR. Does anyone know what the name of this procedure is, and are there other procedures that do not remove the ligaments??
