Guest guest
FYI I do not get the digest... I do find it convenient to try to follow the thread back all in one email... very easy and convenient to refer back and see what has been said...sometimes to find out what the previous poster was referring to and how (perhaps ) we got off on a tangent / or not... so some of us come at this from differing points of view - the single post receiver and those who get the digest...not sure who is in the majority...and surely we all want consideration for our perspective but having said all that to let some digest folks understand where some of the rest of us may be coming from, I will try to do better...thanks for raising my understanding on this issue... d From: thebrookela <thebrookela@...> Subject: Re: supplements / good foods Coconut Oil Date: Friday, December 3, 2010, 5:31 PM For those of you who STILL refuse to clip your messages, you should know that this thread has enough previous conversations attached to it to cause me (getting the daily compendium) to have to click page-down FIFTY-NINE TIMES, in order not to miss the start of the next message, which in today's case comprise responses of from one to about twenty lines PLUS all that has been carried forward many times over. There have been 129 responses to this thread, and I don't think ANYone bothered to clip. Do all of you folks actually READ every message, including those which have come before, or are you just too lazy to go to the group-site and pick up something you think you might have missed. First I had to suffer through the Dee and Duncan Show until I wanted to throw-up .. . . now I have to waste my time drilling down over and over until my fingertips ache . . . all because people either don't know the rule about clipping messages, or simply don't care. Annoyed? You bet I am! I've just about had it with people who refuse to be considerate of others. I am not going to clip this message. Perhaps when you see how long it has grown because you take the line of least resistence, you will understand what has me so riled up. Or, more probably, not. Guest guest
I get individual e-mails also. But I never throw out old messages to this group. Long threads, repeated over and over again fill up my hard drive and make searching for past entries into a thread a real pain. Tim everything but the post you you are responding to, or maybe the one before that. But please trim off the rest. Guest guest
Actually, that can be done right on the website - just click on " messages in this topic " and you can see them all online. Guest guest
Also, some email programs expand spaces so over time such emails in digest form are extraordinarily long. 59 lines is NOTHING. As a lark, I thought I would see how long brookela's email example really was. Around 1100 clicks. Seriously, eleven hundred. It is beyond annoying, people. I don " t normally click, but have to go very slowly and carefully in order to find the next message. supplements / good foods Posted by: " thebrookela " thebrookela@... thebrookela Fri Dec 3, 2010 2:31 pm (PST) For those of you who STILL refuse to clip your messages, you should know that this thread has enough previous conversations attached to it to cause me (getting the daily compendium) to have to click page-down FIFTY-NINE TIMES, in order not to miss the start of the next message, which in today's case comprise responses of from one to about twenty lines PLUS all that has been carried forward many times over. Guest guest
Actually whenever I have tried to do that, it doesn't work and I have never been able to find the previous posts. Â So I find it very annoying when posts are trimmed to such an extent that you cannot tell what they relate to. Guest guest
They are all right there on the website - it tells you how many messages are in this topic and that's what you click on to read them all.
