Guest guest
Kim - you can't have problems now! Oh No! Good Luck Tomorrow at the doctor. Did I read that you haven't been able to get ear drops? Hopefully you can get some tomorrow and they'll clear everything right up!! My internet has been down for a week and a half so I'm behind on reading the posts, but it looks like the group is really growing - fantastic Had my four week post-op visit this morning and everything is going great. It's interesting that my doctor removes the packing at four weeks and others remove it sooner and some later. They tested my hearing and said it is in the normal range, is better than before my first surgery and could possibly continue improving - so my surgery was a success - YEA! I don't have to go back until January. I'm so excited! Good Luck Tuesday! > > Hi Kim & > > > > Thanks for your help re my last message. Guest guest
Have you thought of going to a chiropractor to align the disks in your back? Without a chiropractor, I would be in bed all the time, I swear! Just my humble opinion. Guest guest
Thank you Lesli!! I see the Doctor tonight after work and will mention it. I have a seizure history since I was 8 and have been on Neurontin in the past. It made me so tired I was unable to go to AA meetings after work. The tiredness was much worse than the depakote but also at that time my eating disorder was in full swing so it's hard to say if it was the Neurontin or lack of nutrients coupled with severe dehydration. I will talk to him and see what he thinks. Sometimes I feel like I have had so much going on that it makes it difficult for the Doctor to even know how to treat me...lol... Sorry to hear about all the pain you are experiencing. That must be very difficult to live with. Kim
Guest guest
Hi Christie! I have a wonderful chiropractor who I get to see tomorrow night. She has helped me so much!!! I wouldn't even be back in the gym if it wasn't for her. I think over time with more therapy I should be better. There has been so much damage over the years in the drinking days, jumping out of windows, car accidents, jumping out of cars.... I was constantly suicidal before I got sober... So glad to hear you have a chiropractor also!!! Aren't they great? Kim
Guest guest
Hi Lesli Congrats on recovering from your eating disorder!!! I know my eating disorder with be with me forever.... stuck in my brain. It does get easier over time though. I'm so glad we can be online friends. It's hard to find people to talk to that suffer from multiple issues. Did you ever try to explain some of this stuff in AA meetings where some people just don't have these other issues? There's one woman in my home group who keeps trying to get me to eat a donut. Sugar is a huge trigger for me and the next day I'm suicidal. I told her that sugar to me is like a glass of wine to her. The next week she tried to get me to eat a donut. I no longer sit near her...lol... About the mental illness there are those in AA who believe I'm not working my program hard enough...lol... I go to 5 meetings a week when I'm not too into the depression or the meds haven't completely pooped me out, I have done several AAWOL's, have a home group, a sponsor, go on commitments, a step group, get on my knees every morning and every night, sponsor other women...etc... Sometimes I don't feel like opening up to anyone in AA anymore as it is so difficult to get them to know what I'm talking about. It's easier to just say everything is OK. That's why I'm so glad to have met you and you've been where I've been. I work so hard trying to get weller than well!! Kim
Guest guest
Hi, I just wanted to say that I dont have issues with alcohol or drugs but I do with food. I lost 110 lbs and Im freaked over gaining it back. I do the typical things like overexercise if I eat something I perceive as bad. If I eat unplanned sweets I binge out of control. Then I get really restrictive with what I eat. I use exercise mostly to keep me thin. I can eat planned sweets ok. Like every night I have one cup of fat free frozen yogurt. But if I put hot fudge on it Im done. As long as I plan it ahead Im ok. Suz
Guest guest
Hi Thanks for the message. I think I have it loud and clear to get something done about it. When speaking to my specialist yesterday he mentioned apple juice with polycose in it. I am trying anything I can think of at the moment. But sleep seems to work the best. Hmmm not quite the ideal! How is Chet getting on these days? Keep in touch it is lovely to hear from you. Guest guest
I know you know better. Stay off the scales and just do whats right. Reread your manual, make sure your getting some kind of exercise 4-5 days a week and weigh once a month. It will come off. Guest guest
Hi You are correct that you would not be able to take advantage of Hi Res with a pre-CII device. But like I said there have been other strategies that have been made for pre-CII individuals. You would have had the option of additional strategies and processors. Guest guest
Actually we stuck a rolled up sock between the brace and my clothes to cushion it. It was rubbin on the incision and driving me nuts. It helped a little but still was pretty uncomfortable. I am sure once the incision heals better, then the brace will be more comfortable to wear. It does give me some great support. I took off the binder tonight to redo it since it was all messed up and checked the incisions. He glued mine together so no stitches or staples. Hooray! Everything looked really good. Pain is less today so thats good as well. Kim kim Socks in the brace? does that help? Give it 1 week and you will be better off. the put surgery tape over mine. but that was since 2002. I glsd you are a member of our group good luck mike group owner
