Okay, first of all, take a deep breath, relax, and don't panic. I

think your sense of being overwhelmed is getting in the way of your

motivation, and inhibiting your ability to find solutions to

overcoming your obstacles (which aren't really obstacles as much as

inconveniences and a lack of information). It is great that you have

written your goals down, and are reviewing them, that in itself shows

some level of determination and motivation. As for the shakes, I use

myoplex lite and plain protein powder and mix them both with plain

water, but if you still don't want to use them, there are lots of

sources of protein other than eating meat with every meal! Everyday

for breakfast, I have protein pancakes (the egg whites and cottage

cheese provide protein) and they are sooooo yummy! Then there are

lots of terrific recipes on the official BFL site as well as many

other places on the web (just do a search). I have used many, and

yum, yum. Raylene's jello is also quite tasty (****kudos to

Raylene****), and provides some great ideas of meals on her

website. Don't let the food stop you, Sweetie, there are too many

alternatives out there. Trust me and the other wonderful ladies on

this site when we tell you how wonderful BFL makes you feel. You can

do it! Hope this helps.

  • 6 years later...

I have just started the oil pulling with coconut oil and have only done it maybe

2-3 weeks in a row mainly for dental and gum health. The results have been

phenomenal and I was very pleased.

I was on a camping trip for 3 days and did not do the oil pulling and this

morning had bleeding gums and achy teeth. Could I have regressed this quickly?

I must say the oil pulling has helped with my allergies immensely and I do have

a bit more energy in just this short time so I do plan to continue.

Thoughts on the discontinuation of oil pulling for that short length of

time???????

Thoughts on oil pulling?
