Oil pulling straight after wisdom teeth extraction?

Hi everybody

I'm having my wisdom teeth extracted next week. Is it okay to oil pull the same

or the next day - I mean with the wounds and all?

I'm not exactly sure, that's why I'm asking.. Hope somebody can help

After any tooth extraction one is not supposed to suck liquid thru a

straw, gargle, or smoke because any sucking or squishing will dislodge

the blood clot & cause big problems with both healing and possible

infection. So I would not do oil pulling right away. Check with

your dentist on when it will be safe to gargle.

VCO is good in helping the body heal wound faster. It is our first aid for wound

injuries in our factory, and the wounds never got to a second or final aid. We

no longer use betadiene on wound.

Last month my 18 month-old nephew lost a tooth when a bike fell unto him. We put

enough vco into the wound, the bleeding stopped quickly. We continued putting

every 1 to 2 hours until bedtime. The next day the wound seemed to have fully

healed, there was no swelling, and he was no longer bothered by it when he ate.

I would suggest VERY gentle swishing. But no hard sucking.
