Coconut oil & nausea

Greetings to all from Australia!! I've only just found this forum, so am a

newbie here :)

I've been using EVCO topically for around 10 months now, and really love it (for

moisturising, making deodorant with it, in my hair etc).

Consuming it has been another matter altogether - I've had real difficulty in

consuming it straight. I can (only just) bring myself to take it off the spoon

(1 teaspoon only at a time). But I always find that an hour or so after taking

it like this I feel nauseous.

Weird thing is I can easily handle a couple of tablespoons in smoothies. It's

taking it straight that invariably makes me feel sick.

Has anyone else found this? Is it a detox thing that will diminish in time?

I'm aiming to get my consumption up to the recommended 3-4 Tbl per day, and

being able to take it straight would really help with that.

I've also given cooking with the EVCO a good go, but just don't like the flavour

in everything I cook. Have just ordered Jarrow's Expeller Pressed to try, so am

hoping the bland flavour will be easier to cook with.

In the meantime, any advice on overcoming the nausea issue would be very much

appreciated.

Cheers

Jane

Eat coconut oil with other food. It IS a food. Take a mouthful of

food, add a sip of coconut oil, chew well and swallow.
