Guest guest
I wasn't referring to Thyroid cases but JUST to someone using Preg for a hormone " precursor " and feeling okay while using it. I didn't know that Thyroid problems were treated strictly with Preg. Are they? Please enlighten me. How you feel is not a marker for *anything*? I beg to differ as will many on the thyroid boards. If one is in the hands of a doc knowledgeable he/she WILL go by how you feel. And I imagine that thyroid is not the only thing where one would go by how one feels such as adrenals but I am not an expert. Lynda You certainly cannot go by HOW YOU FEEL. That's not a marker for anything. _____ From: Coconut Oil <mailto:Coconut Oil%40> [mailto:Coconut Oil <mailto:Coconut Oil%40> ] On Behalf Of Duncan Crow Sent: August 5, 2010 2:42 AM Coconut Oil <mailto:Coconut Oil%40> Subject: Re: Duncan and his hormone use. Bonnie, when we take the precursor our systems can maintain the balance of hormone creation as they always did, just a higher level than they'd been sagging to. In considering pregnenolone over DHEA, we're balancing out Jo's highish estrogen, which testosterone was miserable at doing, with balanced hormone creation including hopefully progesterone, while reducing her estrogen output by slimming her down, mainly by elevating HGH and reducing oxidative stress. The progesterone approach would generally follow Dr. Lee's focus and I think it's more correct than simply elevating sex hormones. Anyway, progesterone, DHEA, estrogen, and testosterone can be maintained in balance by the body with pregnenolone and forced out of balance by DHEA. It's not that we don't appreciate the warning, but pregnenolone is pretty safe even at the highish dose of 150 mg/day used in the research on reducing cognitive impairment in the elderly. After due consideration of that and other research and after reading what everyone's doing and Sahelian's page we felt OK with our decision and opted not to test. Our personal doses are a low 25 mg, well within natural boost range even if our levels were normal to start with, and we intend to balance out at a 22 year olds HGH values that we're chasing with the HGH trigger, not a 50-year old's requirements. I had estimated about 3 x 25 mg per day would still be ballpark but one is working OK and 50 mg daily for a week wasn't noticeaby better so we'll leave it at that. Yes, we noticed the difference in days, we notice if we stop too, and we're fine, believe me. We have anti-aged considerablyso far and this makes it better. We both feel peak, quicker, stronger, more energetic, Jo's much more active, and she had plateaued for a 3-4 months but has started slimming and firming again in the last few weeks since we started the minerals. There go the last 10 pounds I'm sure of it all good, Duncan > > Hello Everyone: > > Duncan has the right idea by using Pregnenolone at his age (the precursor of > all the hormones) HOWEVER, I've been after Duncan for awhile now, to GO AND > GET TESTED.
