Hi Laurie,

The goal is definitely similar, but there is a bit more pressure and 

manipulation of the underlying tissues. It's not a rough motion, 

though. I use the amount of pressure I would use if stroking a baby's 

head. If you are interested, I can send you exact instructions, as 

there is an order in which the steps are done. Like I said it only 

takes a couple of minutes. I brush my daughter's skin and do joint 

compressions as well, as she has sensory integration issues.
