,

Are you sure they are ringworm lesions?

Have you ever checked what secondary EM Lyme rashes look like?

Ring worm

It's unbelievable how many ring worm lesions are now on my body as I was

just

looking over my body having gotten out of the shower. Rather than buy

something like Lamisil I am going to leave them on my body as a way of

measuring my immune response to different supplements I will be taking in

the

near future. Just started 10,000 mcg hydroxy yesterday so I have to give it

a fair trial and make a ruling on its efficacy for me before I begin any

immune modulators.

Amy,

I don't know if this will work for ring worm, but I remember taking vinegar

baths (water with vinegar) for pin worm when I was little. Anyone?

I was cured of ringworm by homeopathy. I had quite a stubborn case that

lasted four or five years, until I began seeing my homeopath.

There are quite a few remedies that may work for ringworm, though, so it is

probably best to see a homeopath. If you can't, you can also try one of the

self-help books. Dana Ullman's _Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicines_

has a section on ringworm. I would be happy to summarize what he says if

you email me personally, but I have found that self-treatment is difficult

in chronic conditions.

See a homoepath - how many times do you all want to hear me say it???? ;-)

You don't want to use anything that will suppress it like steroid creams or

it will drive the disturbance deeper and the next symptoms will be worse in

a more threatening organ system. This is a sign of what in homeopathy is

known as a miasm - an inherited, for the most part, condition of weakness.

See a homeopath or just let it be, but don't suppress it

Exactly tte - don't try to treat skin rashes on your own - you will

probably only end up suppressing them and driving the disturbance deeper

Tea tree oil!!! That is all you will need!!! It is great stuff. My little

brother had something that the doc.s thought might be ringworm, right on his

head. They prescribed some stuff that didn't work so they prescribed something

ells. That didn't work either. That is when my mom was introduced to Melaleuca

Oil (aka Tee Tree oil) It worked!

RINGWORM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS—Small, flat, red, slightly elevated ring or oval-shaped sores,

which may be crusted, dry, scaly, or moist. The centers of the sores heal as

the sores spread outward. The result is an infected ring. Itching, burning,

or pain may be present. The lesions appear to be circular. The area is often

covered with small blisters.

When the scalp is affected, the hair falls out in circular patches. The

fingers can also be affected.

CAUSES—Ringworm is a very contagious disease, caused by a parasitic fungus.

It can infect children or adults, and is caused by unsanitary conditions.

Keep the hands clean! Pet the dog and then rub your face, and you may regret

it.

Ringworm of the beard (face) is more persistent than ringworm of the scalp.

Ringworm of the body is the easiest to eliminate.

Dogs, cats, rabbits, children, and contaminated clothing are generally the

carriers of the disease.

There are several different types of ringworm, all of which are of fungal

origin:

Ringworm of the scalp - This can be on the scalp, face, and on the nails, is

the most noticeable kind. It is highly contagious, and often found on

school-children. It frequently induces baldness, which may become permanent

if hair shafts are destroyed by the fungus.

Ringworm of the trunk - This includes “jockey itch,” and is spread by

contact with people or their clothing. Dogs and cats can also spread it.

Ringworm of the nails - This consists of a fungus growing under the nails.

It produces thickened, misshapen, brittle, discolored, chalky, pitted, or

grooved nails. The nails can either be on the hands or the feet. This type

of ringworm is quite difficult to eliminate.

Ringworm of the feet - This is also known as athlete's foot (see " Athlete's

Foot " ).

TREATMENT—

• Vitamins A, E, and zinc are important.

• Put plantain and castor oil on the affected area.

• Place ultraviolet light on the area for at least 6 minutes a day. This can

be sunlight, or a sunlamp. Never place a sunlamp closer than 18 inches from

the skin.

• Apply apple cider vinegar to the area several times a day.

• Equally useful is castor oil, goldenseal tea, and borax. Rub the area with

borax and with castor oil.

• A 3-day citrus fast is very helpful, cleansing the bowels daily. Follow

this with a nutritious diet.

• Eat plenty of garlic. Put raw garlic over the ringworm and cover. You can

also use black walnut extract. Wash the area with garlic juice or wormwood.

• Place freshly cut garlic 3 times a day on the area. This is a very good

remedy. Blend the garlic with a little water and apply as a soak, compress,

or poultice. But this remedy is too powerful to apply to raw flesh between

the toes; it can burn lower layers of skin.

• Take 2 chaparral or wormwood capsules daily.

• The scalp can be shampooed with tar soap and borax. Moisten the area every

morning and evening with goldenseal (1 teaspoon) and myrrh (½ teaspoon),

which has been steeped in a pint of boiling water.

• An herb tea can also be taken internally: goldenseal or plantain, twice a

day.

• Make a salve from equal parts of burdock root, chaparral, wormwood, and

chickweed; apply to the area. Some of it can also be made into a tea to

drink in order to fight the fungus internally.

• Keep the skin clean and dry. Ringworm likes damp skin. Take frequent

baths, but dry thoroughly each time. Rub briskly with a towel, to remove the

outer dead layers of skin that the ringworm initially attacks.

• Do not scratch. Keep fingernails cut short, to lessen accidental

scratching and spreading of the infection.

• To remove crusts, soak the area in a saline solution. An alternate method

is to apply moist cloths for 10-15 minutes, 3 times a day.

• To treat nails: Pare and scrape the infected area, and try to remove as

much of the loose material beneath the nails. Apply vinegar with a Q-tip

twice a day. Keep at it, even though it may require months to eliminate.

Fungus of the nails is the slowest to conquer.

Did you read my post - NOOOOOOOOO.

You are suppressing a skin condition and driving the disturbnace that

caused it deeper and it can result in a far worse condition.

He definitely needs immune support:BTG, and initial liver/kidney/lymph drainage. I would consider that pH is off in his body and he need the vinegar before meals or HCL and enzymes. There is a homeopathic ringworm remedy that I would use.

It is difficult to work with teens. Out of sight-out of mind. This teen needs to change his ways because just getting rid of the fungus this time will not be enough.

I have a 17 year old client who has ring worm - started with five circles on his jaw line area, now processed to be two dozen mostly on his chin, neck and shoulders, but also his butt. He has had a history of althete's foot before this started. Realizing this is a fungus, I had him on a diet to fight yeast within his system. But I am new to Undas, and am wondering what can be done with these wonderful products to fight this.

Slowly but surely a perfect red ring has developed on my son's lower back. I'm sure it's ring worm and I think that's antifungal so I have been applying OoO diluted in olive oil twice daily. impetigo can also look the same.. I think that there is a test using UV light to see if it is ringworm..  Either way, very contagious.. so take care to wash all bedline in a hot wash and ensure towels are not shared.

It needs strong antifungals, now matter what it is.. We have used tea tree oil in the past.. but this is very harsh on the skin.. and may cause allergic reaction.

Thanks for the replies.DS has come out in a light rash over his back. I think it can only be the OoO although I've given it orally before and never seen this kind of reaction before. I'll try the GSE and order the Neem too, good as a back up and good to have around the house anyway. Thanks again,

Tinactin foot powder makes a lot of sense. Since it is a fungus,

lugols should work on it also, just as any anti-fungal should.

Where do you get Lugols in the states? A pharmacy? Health food store?
