Guest guest
I have heard this recently too only it had to be liquid vitamin C. As soon as your stools become almost runny you are to back off I think 1000mg and that should be your body's normal Vitamin C intake a day. Some require a small dosage while other require a high intake of Vit C. My mom and my sister are testing out the theory anyhow and it seems to have worked for them so far. O+ (? secretor status) ----------------------------------------------------- You might try taking a vitamin C every hour until you start to have loose stools. Then back off one at a time until you are normal. This was something I just heard!! K. OKC

Guest guest
I hope that you are not trying to pick a fight with me. Why do you post stuff like this? I commented on LP dying of cancer. I assumed that to be the case, although of course " he died " in respose to positive list talk about Vit C did not come across positive for some reason :-)) I was adding what I felt - a separate issue. Don't make assumptions . I have no beef with you - er no pun intended. I'll tell you if I need to pick a fight :-)) Usually it's not what I have in mind - better things to do and all that. Guest guest
Hang on Kathy - misunderstandings happen in email and it NEEDS to be resolved. Have patience. What I wrote could easily be misread by as a " reaction " to his words. did the right thing to ask if that was what I meant. It wasn't and so I explained. That was the right way to sort out a potential misunderstanding!!! Take a deep breath!! ....IRene kathy matthews wrote: > CHILDREN!!!! Guest guest
Hi I don't think I've seen any vit C made up with a 'balanced' mineral composition. That might include Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium Ascorbates....in the appropriate amounts. In some circumstances, you might need to make up your own mixture. 'Light' Magnesium Carbonate can be purchased along with Ascorbic acid, and you can combine the other carbonates/bicarbonates of sodium, potassium or calcium so that you obtain a soluble mix of ascorbate salts that will add to a fruit drink (or water). About a half to a gram a day of ascorbate will be useful...but that implies you need to be careful about how much and which salts you combine. There's a lot to be said for using about 25% percent of each of the four salts in combination...if you keep to the half to a gram per day of ascorbate ( so's not to use to consume too much potassium). best wishes Bob > > Hi Sheila and all, > Could you tell me which Vit C I should buy to help adrenals and how > much to take and for how long? > Thank you very much > >

Guest guest
Try the Vitamin C from www.iherb.com as this is an excellent site. You should take at least 1000mgs daily, and if possible, up to 3000mgs as this helps to convert the inactive T4 into the active T3. Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila and All,Could you please tell me which Vit C I should buy to help adrenals and how much to take and for how long?Thank you very much, No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG. Guest guest
Can vit C be taken sublingually? Is there such a thing? Where would I get the Ester C? Guest guest
Hi Holland and Barrett ought to stock it If it won't go in sub-lingually, it shouldn't cause GI problems, since it's an ester and not an acid. Esters are made from an alcohol and an acid; the acidity is greatly reduced by doing so. Bob > > Can vit C be taken sublingually? Is there such a thing? Where would I get the Ester C? Not a good plan. Ascorbic acid will etch your teeth. Just take C with food. Chuck
Guest guest
Hi They used to use animal sourced vitamin C, in the early days of medical research; guess what organ they used, to find the animal source ~ ? correct: it was the adrenal glands. Humans, primates, guinea pigs (+/-) ? are the only species that don't actually make their own supply of ascorbic acid. If we made the same amount that pigs make, we'd produce something like 4-5gms per day....... We lost the enzyme for making one of the intermediate sugars about 3- 5 million years back, most likely due to the dependence on a good fruit and vegetable supply ( plus the odd bit of meat ~ omnivorous ). A blend of calcium and magnesium ascorbate would avoid the problem of using plain ascorbic acid, should you not be able to find Ester-C. It is quite (understated) important that your adrenals are adequately supplied with enough ascorbate (/ic acid) for them to function. I use light magnesium carbonate to neutralise any acids that I take (eg Malic acid in cider). Boots will supply the light magnesium carbonate if asked for a special order ~ it's about £6-7 per 500gm (in a large container because it's light and powdery) 500gm would last a very long time (years, at 300mg/day)......and it won't 'go off'. If you then use light magnesium carbonate to (part) neutralise the ascorbic acid it 'buffers' the acidity of the acid so that it is not quite so acid, and is then less likely to etch teeth if, for example, you include the ascorbic acid in a normally acidic drink. best wishes Bob > > I am not taking any Vit C as it gives me indegestion, does anyone know if there is a brand that can be taken sublingually as I do feel
