Guest guest
S'gone very quiet around here. How's the oil pulling going? I just can't seem to keep it going. I do it for a day or two then forget and it goes out the window. But interested to know how others are getting on. Ali.
Guest guest
This is my first post. I use vco daily. I have off and on for a few months, but I have started using it for oil pulling as well as taking it inernally for the the last 2 days. I use it when I cook also. I try to get 3-4 Tbsp. per day. When I do, I notice a surge in my energy, and I don't feel as hungry. I am trying to lose 40#, so this is a plus. I also us it on my skin occasionally. I have heard that it is a good sunscreen, but I haven't tried that out yet. Regarding the pulling, I have done as one member suggested - I heat a little oil in my microwave to get it in a liquid state, as I prefer that. Then, when it thickens in my mouth, I spit it out and start with fresh oil. I do this about 3 times. I haven't noticed anything yet. I'm anxious to see others' results. Guest guest
I would suggest you do not use the microwave to heat the oil. CO melts at around 76F. So rather use warm/hot water in a shallow bowl to bring the CO gently to its melting temperature. You can put the solid CO into another container (I use a 1oz medicine measure) and place this in the bowl. -------------------------------------------------- From: " Dembraski-Marsh " <bdembraski@...> Sent: Thursday, June 11, 2009 9:47 AM <Coconut Oil > Subject: RE: Where'd the thread go??? Guest guest
Does the microwave change the composition or something else in the oil? Coconut Oil From: rvrichardson@... Guest guest
-Ali The way I have been doing it is to place a bottle of vco and a spit cup where I spend a great deal of time during the day. I find myself that just by glancing at it causes a reaction to reach for it. I know the idea of a spit cup nearby is gross but--- Hope this may help

Same thing happened to me ... 2 days and I forgot.. so I left it. Maybe our mouths don't have too much of a problem with bactera..! or elsewhere is more a priority at present.
