Guest guest
Hi, I have been a member of this group for a while but havn't posted much. I currently use the Tropical Traditions extra virgin Coconut oil which I like, the only other brand I've tried is NUI, which I didn't like as much. I buy the 4 litre tub of TT's EVCO for $100.00 (or $25.00/Litre) .....I see a lot of recent postings re Wilderness Oil ...but to my knowledge this is not available in Australia (ie no distributor here)..I could be wrong though (or just ignorant) I'm getting to the point where I have to order some more oil & was wondering what other brands people in Australia are using & recomending,(the price you pay per litre would be helpful too if you remember). I'm not sure what the channel etiquite is but feel free to reply private if you think the info is not relevant to the entire forum (Since I realize not everyone lives in Aust ..heh ) Thanks
Guest guest
, , too, am interested in who/what are the best quality/priced brands. I'm in the United States, but outside sources may be of use. Don't know yet. So, would you forward me any sources that may not make it to the public listings? Really though, other than the brands already mentioned, others would be new to the list. So, it really wouldn't be old news. Anyway, we're all looking for new sources, eh? Thank you or as we say here on the border, " Muchas Gracias! " . (Speaking of which, you'd think that coastal Mexico would be a good source!) -richard- Hi, I have been a member of this group for a while but havn't posted much. Guest guest
Hi , I use Coconut Paradise extra virgin oil and am very happy with it. I have only been able to get it at a few places (I am in ) but it is worth the search. I pay $35 a litre. I was using Melrose vco but had a few nasty reactions so won't go near it again. I hope that helps. Nicky From: O <mike225@...> Subject: What Brand Coco oil are Consumers in Australia buying? The price is with $22/kg or $26/kg--can't exactly remember! (and 10% discount for members) They don't do mail order though, so it's only for locals I am thinking about buying some expeller-pressed oil for cooking-- is that the best thing to do to get an oil that won't add a taste to cooked foods? The one I'm looking at is from http://www.mfcd.net/store/product.asp?pID=716 & cID=34 (The Melbourne Food ingredient Depot). Price is $30 for 1.8kg. They don't seem to stock EVCO though, only the EP. Guest guest
Thankyou too all who replied to my email re ... " What brand of C.O are Australian consumers using " It gives me a few new brands to try . I did recieve one other recommendation from another forum ...that was for Aclara EVCO but I havn't tried this brand yet. http://aclarahealth.com.au/products.htm These are the other brands details that were mentioned in the replies http://www.alkaway.com.au/products-coconut-oil.html Tropical Traditions http://www.mfcd.net/store/product.asp?pID=716 & cID=34 Organic expeller pressed (mfcd) www.naturepacific.com Banaban & Coconut paradise EVCO (In Melbourne) & also Product available from local Co-Ops ,which I must admit I havn't canvassed yet. To Jeni...yes expeller pressed style Coconut oils have the least taste & smell generally...(I prefer coconut taste in my food & cooking but my mother for instance can only use the expeller pressed) Thanks for replies ... > I'm getting to the point where I have to order some more oil & was wondering what other brands people in Australia are using & recomending,(the price you pay per litre would be helpful too if you remember). >
