Hi ;

My understanding from the research is that a few minerals in inorganic form are

fairly easily absorbed because our bodies can quickly eliminate excess, while

most inorganic mineral absorption requires an acidic solution, so, exposure to a

more or less " correct " bowel culture.

Magnesium chloride is one of the more easily absorbed mineral forms.

A poor bowel culture, yielding low acidity, leads to mineral malabsorption, so

people with dysbiosis and statistically the elderly, who have a " worse "

ecological profile in the bowel as they age, have a harder time absorbing

minerals. The chart of research on it is in my inulin references page. The bowel

pathogen level rises in the elderly IMO because the elevated lactobacilli

population in the elderly produces mainly relatively weaker lactic acid while

bifidobacteria produce stronger acetic acid, which maintains acidity just a bit

stronger and better discourages pathogen growth in addition to making minerals

more absorbable. The fact pathogen levels can rise indicates a more neutral pH,

which is also very conducive to candidiasis.

So especially as one ages, one should take inulin and high-inulin foods to

continuously feed the native probiotic population to maintain bifidobacteria

dominance and ensure the acidity in the colon is maintained for mineral

absorption.

I maintain my probiotic bowel culture so I'd probably be OK with Concentrace but

I also like that the " conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness " ,

humic/fulvic minerals are so bioavailable.

all good,

Duncan

the great Salt Lake is also NOT a safe bet? - I get relief from the Asthma when

I take good doses of their magnesium in transdermal form.
