Im so glad you had a grand time..send the pics..I wanna see em.. Off to a bbq at my sisters, my brother Doug is pickin me up on his way, I call him Mr. Magoo, cause he drives so damn pokey..Have a nice weekend..Luv, Pat RE: Fw: Slowly... Yes, I did. It was so awesome. You really feel God’s presence when you look at the hugeness of the ocean! I went on a dolphin cruise which was WAY cool. I had my picture taken with a gator! I’ll have to find a scanner so I can post it. That part of the gulf is called the Emerald Coast because the water is so green. It was gorgeous! The girls in my room said 2 of us (me being one) were tied for the loudest snoring. I had no idea I snored all the time. I thought it was only if I fell asleep sitting up! Guest guest
I certainly didn’t mean to imply that the nurse should have given me anything for the pain, but every other time I’ve been to the ER for ANYTHING the first thing they do is start an IV, just in case, or to get some blood. At least go ahead and tap the vein. At least talk to the doc real quick and get permission to start fluids if nothing else. Not do absolutely nothing for another hour or more. Even the doc didn’t know why she hadn’t started an IV. Anyway, thanks for the scanner tips. XXOO De RE: De De I Have To Say Something About Your Nurse. And Someone I Know. Well I haven't been throwing up lately but every time I eat my stomach just hurts and swells up hard as a rock. The fools I get my meds from said to get an early prescrition well that will be a fight they don't like to renew until 7 days prior to it being last dose. Will go in Sun. and renew and fight they won't give me an extra one I will just be short one I guess. Don't want to do that again throwing up or hitting the vein lol. Probably went to far down leg and can't see any of the veins very clear. Usually use stomach and now the stinking shots hurt they didn't before. I don't know about ready to say screw it but then I decide I am not giving Bubba free rein over me. Guest guest
Kihun, Sorry for the setback. DE seems to be the best way to go. I have had the most results with it. I believe that it clings to surfaces. I have used it for a very long time with minimal problems. I apply it with a sock, letting it land wherever it pleases. Then after a coiuple of days, vacuum it up (out of the carpet only), and replace it with borax, and havent had a problem with it in the air since. Maybe you could try this...applying it everywhere, letting it sit, then sweep it up(floor), then mop with a strong borax (paste?) solution. Definately apply it to all cracks and crevices around with a paint brush, and never vacuum this up. Once you do the floors with borax, let the DE stay everywhere else, and try it without the mask. I have it like this in my house now, and we have not encountered a problem. (in the kitchen and bathroom, i only have it in cracks and crevices, and treat the rest of these rooms with orange oil cleaner)Good Luck Kihun! Things should start looking up for you soon > > I got so tired of the mess with having DE around the house (plus > having to wear a breathing mask whenever at home) that I vacuumed it > all up but it seems ever since, the problem is getting worse. Guest guest
I was under the impression that you're not supposed to get DE wet... is that only for outdoors b/c rain washes it away so you'd have to reapply? if you get DE wet and it becomes pasty and dries, would it still have the same effect as long as the bugs touch it? What have ppl done w/ the extra clothes or shoes that they are not using? Wash/treat them and put them in storage? > > > > I got so tired of the mess with having DE around the house (plus > > having to wear a breathing mask whenever at home) that I vacuumed > it > > all up but it seems ever since, the problem is getting worse. Guest guest
I have 10 pounds of the DE sitting in a tub. Right about the time I ordered it and was using the powder in my house Tim posted the info about the DE being too large of a particle to effectively work against mites. So if we can ever get passed all this rain we have been having I'm going to put the remaining DE outside to work on bugs out there. I know that the "things" that we had on our skin were so very tiny that I had my doubts about the RP being able to work on them. I think it's the RP's static cling effect that helps rid the environment of these little bugs. I think the RP powder saved our lives. Rita Re: I'm clear..? Guest guest
I could not reply through " reply via website " . So pls. excuse me for not trimming the post coz i don't see them. I took the DE for a month. My tummy began to hurt, and i went to research and ask around, and learned that it being sharp even in powder form, it can still scratch the stomach (lining? can't remember). So i stopped it. Recently we went to a tooth preserving lecture and was told to take Horsetail for only 10 days. Today some website mentions long term use of horsetail can do irreversible damage to the kidneys and that it is not good for those with kidney trouble or those afflicted with diabetes. Just google " side effects horsetail " .
Guest guest
Great information. Thanks JoyceSent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerrySender: RawDairy Date: Thu, 21 Oct 2010 11:39:37 -0500To: <RawDairy >ReplyTo: RawDairy Subject: Re:DE I think it is somewhat misleading to conclude and state that DE has " NO nutritional value worth mentioning " . The silica provided by DE is worth mentioning as are the other trace minerals. Silica is one mineral which is diminished in today's grains as opposed to those of a few decades ago. I and many others have used it in place of eggshell or coral calcium for minerals when making water kefirs which need a source of mineral, which of course proves of nutritional value to the humans who ingest it.Silica is reported to help destroy bad fats thus reportedly helping lower cholesterol and lowering high blood pressure. Because of its action scouring the intestinal walls and blood vessels with its negative charge it accomplishes many of the same things as ingesting clay with its negative charge minerals. Wikipedia only provides the limited knowledge of the wiki community users and their sources used at that point in time. My source for the DE I use is Earthworks of Norfolk, NE., near my home. It is USDA approved for human use as well as animal, plants and other uses. Their website tells in detail what DE is, how it works for human, animal and plant (nutrient uptake), use, and some of the reported benefits. We use it for ourselves, our pets, plants, and as a pesticide around the yard and home. I might mention that it is mentioned as useful vs. bedbugs which seems to be a national problem for whatever reason at this point in time.Just my 2 cents worth to defend natural means to provide the nutrients we can use for better health for ourselves and our eco-systems.Joyce Simmerman
Guest guest
I have used DE for many years on the goats. Know of several dog breeders that use it as well. I put about 1 tsp over grain rations, for mineral advantage and as an internal parasite control. Or dip a brush in it and brush down animals for flea, tick, fly... control. Sprinkle it in the barn especially in the winter over wet areas befor re-bedding the stall, helps to dry the area and again as parasite/bacteria control. Where chickens dust themselves sprinkle some there to help with lice/ticks... It is just great stuff ! sharron Subject: Re: Re:DETo: RawDairy Date: Friday, October 22, 2010, 3:26 PM Bonnie, Do you DE for fleas? If so how? Joyce, please tell me how you use the DE in water kefir. Do you just stir it in? Filter it out? Do you still use a slice of lemon? I have been using DE for many years for my dogs. I breed German Shepherd Dogs - raw, no vacs, etc. I also use it around the house/yard for any bug problems. Bonnie
Guest guest
I may try this, thanks for the info Joyce... Right now my water kefir grains are growing & multiplying like crazy because I've been giving them their dark brown sugar and 2 large multivitamin pills which are too large for me to swallow because I have extra bones in my mouth..These vitamins costed alot of money,so I had to do something with them..It's amazing how much my grains love them..If anyone is interested,I can let you know what's in these giant hard blue vitamins..I got them because I had high cholesterol..
