Guest guest
Reading a post to you by someone else I realized I'd skipped over the part where you mentioned adrenal fatigue but I'd almost written that tyrosine is also used to make some of the adrenal hormones (epinephrine and norepinephrine) but I thought maybe that didn't apply, now I see that it does indeed. Some neurotransmitters involved in feelings of well-being need tyrosine too, as well as tryptophan so I wouldn't be surprised if you feel a little depressed too. Perhaps you can try them in supplement form along with the enzymes and whey if you do not want to have to eat beef. I do eat beef but not very often so I supplement because I need them too. Raquel > > I havn't eaten meat for 10 years and my naturapath has suggested I add it back into my diet to improve my health condition, I have adrenal exhaustion and secondary hypothyroidism. I live on fish and vegetables and a small amount of fruit and the thought of eating meat horrifies me but I am willing to try it if it helps (I will do anything to get my hair to stop falling out!!) My metabalism is a protein type so I guess I have been fighting the laws of my bodies nature. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences and have had improvements from eating meat. Any imput would be a great help. > Cheers > Nicky > > > ________________________________________________________________________\ ____________ > Access 7 Mail on your mobile. Anytime.. Guest guest
I think she said she was eating fish so this sounds like an assimilation problem. > > Fish is a good tyrosine source for those who don't want to eat meat. > > Duncan >
Guest guest
What about those who have had their appendix taken out ? Remember when it used to be said that the appendix wasn't good for anything anymore ? Now I have heard said that it contains the seeds for good bacteria and digestive enzymes. I've had mine out and slowly but surely my digestive system has gotten so bad that my Nutreval test revealed low levels of many amino acids, magnesium, maganese, copper, etc. which shocked me because of all the magnesium supplements I have taken over the years ! I have fibromyalgia, stressed adrenals, hypothyroid, silent celiac, hypoglycemic, heavy metal toxicity... I feel like an episode of " Mystery Diagnosis " ! With this most recent testing all my symptoms seem to start to make sense. I have started the amino acid supplementation and the heavy metal detox and my skin uticaria on my lip, eyelids and neck are starting to subside ! I have felt so hopeless for so long and now I feel a glimmer of hope. I have suffered for over four years so I realize these nutritional interventions won't be an overnight cure and I will probably never be like I was but I will take any improvements I can get !!! > > > > I havn't eaten meat for 10 years and my naturapath has suggested I add > it back into my diet to improve my health condition, I have adrenal > exhaustion and secondary hypothyroidism. Guest guest
I still remember when my son sent me a link about the job of the appendix, I knew it had to be there for a reason. Personally, I'm of the opinion that every part of the body is necessary and that if any is removed then the body has to compensate and things can never be the same, therefore, every attempt should be made to restore it to health in all cases that don't include excessive injury or permanent damage. Doctors would have a fight with me if they tried to remove any part of me, I think that at this point in my life I'd rather go to my grave intact than be mutilated, now if I were young with children to raise maybe I'd think differently. I think I'm still amazed to find the same clusters of 'dis-ease' in people as yours. It's like a " syndrome within a syndrome " , as dominoes that topple the next one over. I myself have hypothyroidism (well, I was " normal " at one point but haven't been tested again in years, I only go by how I feel...), stressed adrenals, hypoclycemia and possibly the beginning of fybro. At one point I also suspected 'wheat intolerance', won't call it celiac because I lacked some of the symptoms but my Dad died due to it and so did his mother and a brother and it's hereditary. I also had a mouthful of mercury amalgams that were not removed the " proper " way, all I did was take a lot of selenium, garlic and Vit. C during that time and whatever was already in my tissues is probably still sitting there. Just tonight was reading again about chelating with cilantro but the article advices to do it together with chlorella and I ain't going to shell out another penny for supplements for a good while. I recently discovered that most of my problems are related to systemic fungal infestation (please read this article entitled " The Candida and Fungus Within Us " <http://www.thewolfeclinic.com/newsletters/2006/the_fungus_with_in_us.ht\ ml> . I feel I was led by God back to the site www.knowthecause.com which I'd casually found in '07 but did not pay much attention to at the time. I located the TV show in a local cable channel and started watching it, also read " The Fungus Link, Vol. 2 " and started a low-mycotoxin diet (not exactly the Phase One diet because I found it extremely difficult to follow 100%). Some of my symptoms have improved but because I live in a house that has " hidden " mold problems I still struggle with most of them. I also suspect that I may have other " uninvited guests " and need to do a good parasite cleanse. Apparently fungi and parasites should be addressed first before doing chelation or they tend to get worse after chelating. Something doesn't seem right to me with that picture so I have to try to find out more, I used to believe that it was the toxicity that made our bodies attractive to parasites so I don't understand how " house cleaning " makes things worse. My guess would be that along with the heavy metals a lot of good minerals are pulled out to and that makes us more vulnerable. I've mentioned all that because maybe you should consider looking in that direction too. IF it's true that the appendix is the starting point for our good bacteria by having it removed a big chunk of your immune system and digestive capability (which in turned caused your deficiencies) was affected and that is more than enough reason for you to also have fungi and parasites living in you. Have you tried using " magnesium oil " ? Because it's used transdermally you don't have to depend on the digestive system for it to be available to your tissues. Since it's made of concentrated sea water most contain significant amounts of other minerals as well. And if you don't take extra iodine consider doing so, despite the fear-monging against it we are being grossly cheated because not only our bodies need much more than the RDA but it has to compete against fluoride, bromide and chloride at the receptor sites, it also pairs up with some heavy metals like lead and cadmium to carry them out of the body thus creating a shortage even if we initially had " enough " . Guest guest
Hi: Yes MACA does give me a big increase in energy but I'm afraid it is from increased Testosterone. This is a well known fact and unlike DHEA it doesn't seem to raise Estrogen levels. So for those low in Testosterone it might be good, but not for others.
