Elaborate, please! Are you in a state where raw milk is outlawed (I am -

Georgia)??

Lots of good stuff there , but I'd just ask one thing...

What is the difference between 'supplementing' our diets with pure,

concentrated, minimally processed 'superfoods' (like whey isolate) to

offset both the extremely poor quality of our land that grows the vast

majority of our food and the extreme amount of toxins everywhere in the

environment (even growing your own cannot escape these toxins any more),

and supplementing your body with 'energy work' to offset the

complications caused by our 'energy infected environment'?

comes from grass-fed cows that deliver more amino acids and nutrients. It is

made with the finest non-denatured, non-acid, cold processed whey protein

concentrate from grass-fed cows that are not hormone treated. This protein

powder also includes the patented Aminogen plant enzyme to boost absorption and

retention.

Here's my top 3 Cold-Processed Whey's after much researching. I don't like to

Mega-dose on Whey, 6-10 grams daily from it is enough for me.

1) True Protein - $9-10 per Pound

http://www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=22 & pid=633

[1 serving = 27 Grams Protein = 15 servings per pound. 13.5 grams per 1/2

serving, 9 grams 1/3 serving, 6.75 grams 1/4 serving]

Some flavorings use Sucralose (Splenda) as a sweetener.

(2) Jarrow Formulas Whey Protein Powder Vanilla - 2 lbs. - $18

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/JR070/ItemDetail?n=0

[1 serving = 17 Grams Protein = 34 servings, 68 servings at 8.5 Grams]

" Ultrafiltered under low temperature to be low in fat, lactose and

carbohydrates. Fifty-one percent of the proteins found in whey are from BLG

(Beta-Lactoglobulin), 20% of whey is ALB (Alpha-Lactabumin), 10% Immunoglobulin,

10% Albumin, and 7% minor fractions (Beta-Microglobulin, lactoferrin,

lactoperoxidase, lysozyme, lactolin and relaxin). " (Fructose, Lo Han Guo

sweeteners)

(3) Country Life, Biochem, Tri-Protein Plus Powder, Vanilla - 2 lbs - $23

[1 serving = 20 Grams Protein = 28 Servings, 56 servings at 10 Grams]

" Ultra-Filtered /Micro-Filtered (UF/ML) Whey Protein Isolate - This special

technology using advanced low temperature microfiltration/ultrafiltration

processes yields a high quality, pure, highly concentrated whey protein isolate

leaving 99% of the peptides undamaged and undenatured. This process maintains

the microfractions, such as Immunoglobulins, alpha-Lactalbumin,

beta-Lactoglobulin, Lactoferrin, Serum Albumin and Glycomacropeptides which are

known to nutritionally support anabolic activity and protein digestion. "

I would like to start taking Whey Protein, but I found that it contains MSG.

Does anyone know anything about this?

From what I've read, it looks like all Whey Protein contains msg. There are many

places to find this info... here's one:

Many people think glutamate, glutamic acid and glutamines are all the same

thing, as evidenced by the many " glutamate warnings " , which contain a lot of

misinformation liberally sprinkled with useful information.

Some hydrolysed undenatured wheys contain a small amount of glutamate, which

poses a problem to a small percentage who have abnormal glutamic acid

metabolism, MS patients, and a few exceptions.

But non-hydrolysed microfiltered and ion-exchanged undenatured wheys don't

contain glutamate.

Most of us have no difficulty with hydrolysed either because the glutamate adds

less just a couple of grams to the pound that is naturally recycled in the body

every day.

Glutamic acid on the other hand is the primary amino acid in human and other

mammalian milk. It should occur in whey in large quantities and it is

beneficial; it is used to heal people such as by reducing glycation of the lens

of the eye, as seen in this research:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8872107

all good,

Duncan

The page doesn't differentiate glutamic acid from monosodium glutamate. This

kind of confusion is how a myth is born.

Glutamate is an intermediate biological recycle product that is about to undergo

processing, while glutamic acid is still a food.

all good,

Was just double-checking and noticed Jarrow doesn't say it is low temperature or

cold-processed. I actually copied the text last time, must have changed. Oh

well, scratch it from the list.
