Lots of good stuff there , but I'd just ask one thing... What is the difference between 'supplementing' our diets with pure, concentrated, minimally processed 'superfoods' (like whey isolate) to offset both the extremely poor quality of our land that grows the vast majority of our food and the extreme amount of toxins everywhere in the environment (even growing your own cannot escape these toxins any more), and supplementing your body with 'energy work' to offset the complications caused by our 'energy infected environment'? Guest guest
From what I've read, it looks like all Whey Protein contains msg. There are many places to find this info... here's one: http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html > > I would like to start taking Whey Protein, but I found that it contains > > MSG. Guest guest
Many people think glutamate, glutamic acid and glutamines are all the same thing, as evidenced by the many " glutamate warnings " , which contain a lot of misinformation liberally sprinkled with useful information. Some hydrolysed undenatured wheys contain a small amount of glutamate, which poses a problem to a small percentage who have abnormal glutamic acid metabolism, MS patients, and a few exceptions. But non-hydrolysed microfiltered and ion-exchanged undenatured wheys don't contain glutamate. Most of us have no difficulty with hydrolysed either because the glutamate adds less just a couple of grams to the pound that is naturally recycled in the body every day. Glutamic acid on the other hand is the primary amino acid in human and other mammalian milk. It should occur in whey in large quantities and it is beneficial; it is used to heal people such as by reducing glycation of the lens of the eye, as seen in this research: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8872107 all good, Duncan > > I would like to start taking Whey Protein, but I found that it contains MSG. Guest guest
The page doesn't differentiate glutamic acid from monosodium glutamate. This kind of confusion is how a myth is born. Glutamate is an intermediate biological recycle product that is about to undergo processing, while glutamic acid is still a food. all good, Duncan > > > I would like to start taking Whey Protein, but I found that it contains > > > MSG. Guest guest
Was just double-checking and noticed Jarrow doesn't say it is low temperature or cold-processed. I actually copied the text last time, must have changed.
