Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My faith in God was deffinilty put to the test this morning. For all of you who know me know that I have Osteogenesis imperfecta, which is a form of dwarfism where we break all the time. Well my two children have OI as well. I was watching my niece this morning and both of my children were sitting next to me on the top step of our flight of stairs to go downstairs to eat breakfast. The rule is...I go down first in front of them so that if they started to fall I would catch them. My son sat down on the top step to crawl down and his bum slipped off the step and trying to catch himself he fell forward. I dont remember putting my neice down but I remember sliding the down the stairs as I watched my 2 1/2 year old fall head first down our stairs and land in a mass at the bottom of the steps. Well I didnt walk or crawl down the stairs to catch him I slide only to miss grabbing his pants. I get to the bottom of the stairs and I dont know whether to pick him up or call 911. My son sits up crying crawls into my lap and says that scared him. Picked up his sippee cup that had taken the tumble with him and continued on his way to the couch. He was completely unhurt. He fell down 13 stairs sliding down the last three and he was unhurt. I went back up the stairs to get my daughter and my niece and after bringing them safely down the stairs i sat at the base of the steps and cried for 15 min. There was an angel with my son today. And that angel kept him from breaking every bone in his body as he fell down those stairs. We are moving in less than a month to a house that has no stairs...and I cant wait. My faith in God just got stronger. Thankful
Guest guest
Hey and anyone else interested, Even knowing that with a title as " A Miracle This Morning " that your story would have a good ending, I was holding my breath while reading about what happened. My family often jokes about how our angels get together at the end of the day and visit the smoking room in Heaven. With all the strange things that happen to us and them having to watch over and protect us, the angels have to be on their last nerve by the time we go to bed. I can only imagine how many packs of cigarettes the OI appointed angels would go through each day, if there was a smoking room! LOL Come to think about it, the OI angels probably wouldn't get the night off since anything could happen. They'd probably be addicted to coffee instead. Just a thought. ~~Sue~~
Guest guest
I'm sure there's a " smoking " sign in Hell. But it's not the cigarettes that would be lit. Anyway, that was a wonderful story. May God keep blessing you with protective angels, ! ~~Sue~~

Guest guest
I kind of assumed (hoped) that there's a BIG " No Smoking " sign on the Pearly Gates. ;-) -marty >>> <SsueH2004@...> 07/14/04 11:08AM >>> Hey and anyone else interested, Even knowing that with a title as " A Miracle This Morning " that your story would have a good ending, I was holding my breath while reading about what happened.
