Guest guest
Good news and bad news depending where you live. Here in greater Boston, we are still reeling from the departure and year and half ago of Dr. Goldberg former chief of orthop. at New England Medical Center's Floating Children's Hospital to Seattle where he started a Skeletal Dysplasia clinic in his " retirement " . Now NEMC Floating is losing Dr. Wallid Yassir, I almost cried at Jani's appt a couple weeks ago when Yassir told us, and I actually started whining to him. Dr. Yassir is going to Detroit Children's Hospital (notice an LPA conference scheduling trend?) Dr. Stuart Braun remains as chief of Orthop at NEMC and there are LPA families who see him too. The advantage with NEMC is the orthop. dept serves both the adult and children's hospitals there, so adults can see the docs there. (I'll be seeing Braun, but Jani is switching to Children's Hospital, where I went as a kid, to see Dr. Karlin who Yassir trained with and who trained under my childhood guy, Dr. Hall. Karlin specializes in spines, which is Jani's issue ... he may be looking at a laminectomy in 2008, we'll see what Karlin thinks of the MRI.) **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)
