Guest guest
Hello all, I'm having a fight with a university I might need to take a class or classes from next summer. I was discussing with this person the parking issue and handicap placards, etc., and she responded with this: " As for having a disability, we just recently changed our policy on approving disability parking, which is why I gave you the website to look at. We require that you bring in the registration for your state placard, that way we are assured that the placard is registered to you. Unfortunately we have had abuse of disability parking and we have had to crack down to make sure that those who need it -get it, and those who are abusing it get sent to the PD. " My question is if the state issues a person (like me) a valid placard that has not expired, is it any business of this university to see a copy of the registration or anything else? My opinion is if the state issues it, it's none of their freaking business what my disability is. Am I way off base here? Rapert
