This is right from LPA Online:

" To join LPA, you must be a little person (usually but not always defined as

an adult height of 4'10 " or under as the result of a medical or genetic

condition), a family member, or demonstrate a well-founded interest in

issues relating to dwarfism. "

So if this person was actually prevented from joining because of a

quarter-inch of height, then he was done quite an injustice. It shouldn't

have happened.
