Guest guest
dear fred; dont get yer knickers in a knot, dear. we are a dual level relationship, and we have a dual level house. mirrors, pots, pans, pics, are placed for the convenience of both of us. clothing shelves are placed where luthien can get to them, as are hanging rods. my clothing rods are higher, for my convenience. she gets all the lower shelves on the wall cases for her books [ we have floor to ceiling shelving] and i get the higher shelves. A question of hanging................. .............. just a thought, while the list is quiet............... but it occurred to me that people hang pictures on their walls where they can walk up to them and be face to face with them. So, tell me, does anyone on here do that? Meaning, hang pictures on THEIR walls so that they are THEIR eye level? It just sorta occurred to me that we are bloody stupid! We LIVE in our house, therefore, surely everything should be for 'our' use and enjoyment. Why the hell do we hang pictures where WE can't appreciate them, JUST because it is the convention???????????? Further has anyone actually hung a main mirror on a wall, even high up, wherebye it is angled such that YOU can see into it? And NO! I am NOT referring to ceiling mirrors in ones place of nocturnal activity! Like I say, just a thought. Fred, the thinker!

Guest guest
Haven't used anything to magnify since I was 11 but for those that do you have a good idea. Is that experience talking? Irwin
Guest guest
Hmmm, , your response says a lot more about you than it does Fred... Are you commonly late for work, or do you take extra-long lunch breaks? (Pardon me if I'm too forward...;-p) -Bill Re: A question of hanging................. > " ceiling mirrors in ones place of nocturnal activity! Guest guest
" Are you commonly late for work " Yes, but because I'm not a morning person. I'm much better after the noon hour. " do you take extra-long lunch breaks? " They're just long enough, thank you. Come on, how much does one need? " (Pardon me if I'm too forward...;-p) " LOL, do I have to???? I will admit I did sleep in a bed with a ceiling mirror once years ago and wondered " why??? " . I used to take college students on leadership retreats and the last few I went on were at a resort in the Poconos. Since I negotiated the contract, I got the " deluxe " suite (and I was the only adult), imagine my thrill to lay my tired a** down and find " that sight " staring back at me. M......... Guest guest
You can always just use a magnifying glass instead of a mirror. > " I love kinky little people " > > I like the ones that mirrors that magnify things look bigger that way. > > Irwin > > >

Guest guest
My pictures have always been at the height for the 'average' sized person to view comfortably, whereas making us short folk strain our necks to look unless we stand back a bit. I guess we all do it out of habit, and like Joe states, our furniture would get in the way. I have seen some living rooms of people I have visited where the wall above/behind the couch is actually crammed with pictures of different sizes and from low to high heights. It kind of looks nice, if it is done right. Dawn In dwarfism , " Fred " <mail@e...> wrote: .......So, tell me, does anyone on here do that? Guest guest
Fred.. I am an achon and my hubby is average size. Our pics in our home are where we can both enjoy them. Most of them are my eye level. Growing up my parents had a wall filled with pics in the hallway and they were all down where we could see and we were able to enjoy all of them! I guess to me having the pics low is the norm! Have a great day... sarabethwillis@... ***Always be true to your heart !!!!*** On Wed, 17 Sep 2003 19:20:50 +0100 " Fred " <mail@...> writes: > .............. just a thought, while the list is quiet............... > but it occurred to me that people hang pictures on their walls where > they can walk up to them and be face to face with them. > > So, tell me, does anyone on here do that?
