Would like to make friend in UK

Hello

Next year I will hopefully be doing a postgrad in the UK.

I will be studying for a Master's Degree in Law. I'd like to

make some friends and connections in the UK for the year or

two that I will be staying there.

I don't really know where everything is too... I've been to London

twice, and been to Bristol once.

I am debating between going to:

University of Teeside and

University of Bristol .... both of which I have been accepted to.

Anyone live near these places and can give some advice on the climate

etc.?
