This event happened this past weekend in Syracuse and was a big to

do, an OZ fest. Nooooo, not the Ozzy Osbourne festival with his

battle of the heavy metal bands! But the 150th anniversary of the

birth of L. Baum, whose book " The Wonderful Wizard of Oz " was

published 106 years ago, featured 7 surviving Munchkins. Two of whom

were, well for one, 90 year old Meinhardt Raabe! Can ya believe it?!

He's 90 now! Wow! Way to go Meinhardt! And Margaret Pelligrini, age

not given, haha, hey, ya know we're not to suppose to ever ask the

age of a female will be one of the 7 too. There were several online

articles on the festival, but the first one was the only one to have

a pic and sadly not of the Munchkins! It is an interesting pic

nonetheless.

" The village of Chittenango, " where L. Baum spent 32 years of

his life, " holds its annual Oz Fest the first weekend in June. " So,

if yer in the area you can see it there, but on a smaller scale than

the one in Syrcause, I think. And I dunno if Meinhardt will be at

that one tho.

This was interesting, the famous play, The Doll House where all the

women actors are on their knees to make a point of how women were

degraded and not considered equal in the 'n Age' features an

lp in one of the male roles.
